Can You Understand? -- Betty Thatcher-Newsinger
Dollars down the penny drainFrozen in the clouds
Dream away the last of pain
In waterfalls of sounds
Float across the icy pools
Leaves with curl and sway
Now your mind is floating cool
And you can find the way
Can you understand you can really understand
When the darkness comes you still shine
Open up your eyes and make the day shine sunshine now
Open up your dreams and and make the way shine sunshine now
Can you understand you understand
Can you understand you understand
Open up your life and make your lifetime sunshine now
Open up your soul and make your lifeline sunshine now
Can you understand you understand
Can you understand you understand
Dancing without moving now
Growing with your soul
One with all around you now
Related to the all
Purple mist around your hair
Eyes are fading blue
Smiling into everywhere
Love is coming through
-- Betty Thatcher-Newsinger,
lyricist for the band 'Renaissance' in the 70s
nice one...
I saw Renaissance back in the late 70's, that's a flashback, can't really remember many of their songs but used to like them.
Intuitive Transition (After-Visit)
Intuitive Transition (After-Visit)
Transition, internalized upon an intuitive regard.
This witness originates as anyone who visits a friend in their last days.
Malleably determined to appease the unavoidable
Returning to rest in an realization of conversation.
Testifying revisionist, corrects the mistaken moment, an affirmation that nothing followed as the door closed
The anonymous lantern, a lambent of anomaly, offering to help yourself to it's clarity.
Perfect beginnings, patiently comprehend the convergence
We discuss watering the after-lands with tears of liberation.
Interact a unique reproach, instincts left undone through out the empty room.
Obvious impression sustain emotions, issue of fate and mortality
Not in this lifetime, never did we answer unto our own
Mind set alone, no other inevitability, occupies the horizon envisioned.
Sage weather, spectrum of experience, lightning fire asunder intimacy
Connect a physical initiation, senses thrive in the presence of the imminent.
To soon the conclusion, ageless rebirth is an obligation to become the last to first.
Sleep a peaceful night, its been raining since Sunday.
Nature of the sentient embodiment, radiant beings, the lessor of gods creatures
Cast upon the, ethereal epicycle, the universal calendar.
Hourglass sand drifts over its faded past.
Settling upon a sub-surfacing depth, a neutral landing.
No one was mislead, when ever heaven's possible.
Blessed with three reasonings, remembrance, mourning and condolence.
Nurturing this cherished inactivity a reflection shown upon the inner deity.
Every-light redeemed, thunderous pulse, turning hearts, and at the center of it all, love.
II
Come back around, be responsible, forgive the self.
Don't we know, maybe today a truth no truer will heal you in the promise of tomorrow.
Patiently we discuss the approaching definition.
Grasping whispers of approval for this is the simplest accomplishment.
Subjectively questioning, I don't know why we can’t hide.
Distractions restrict the minds rebellion, rebelling against the bodies limitation.
Cracked soul, redeems solitary daylight, shinning silently as faith defines.
Transcended complications, you'll fly away once the continuum acclaims.
The initiation of this original paradise, return from this earth's commitment.
Falling from the eyes, fall away, revealing, where, they're to be.
Mystic disk, tenuous blueprint, infinite sphere
These days of calm behold us, reaching for the hands of heaven.
Hearts replete its greatest belief resolving this lucid obstacle
As we see the familiar beauty reinventing its outlook upon inspired sight lines.
Resounding solitude, a shelter closer, giving solace, for tonight you are inspiration.
You're done waiting to die, suffer no more, welcome home.
From The Heart Of Me -- D. Godchaux
From The Heart Of Me
Lyrics By: Donna Godchaux
Horses slide down off the mountain
Sunlight turning red
Falls on the earth and it spreads
Even the families lower their head
As they ride
Age old faces of the mountains
Looming naturally
I wonder if they're looking at me
Their monumental eyes I can feel
And the glow in the twilight
The dawn of hope
Reminds me
Now I'm reaching out to you
Anything I can do
To be safe and warm
In your arms
All I have is the heart of you
I'd meet you anywhere in the country
Or anywhere on the sea
All over the world it could be
I would follow you
With the heart of me
Love calls echo in the valley
Dream come true tonight
Remembering you hold me tight
In tomorrow morning's light
I will find you
When I awoke the stars were out
And shining, shining for you and me
All I ever want to be
Safe and warm
In your arms
All I have from the heart of me
on going goings on
Only the searcherEver finds
Only the knocker
Ever has the door opened for
On going
Towards
Goings on
Falling so far behind
On the catching up.
Building and storing
Accumulating of what?
Only the Truth
Knocks on the door
Open
And it will enter.
And dine with you
The Truth seeker
and the fact finder
Sitting across a round table
Stacking a couple of chords
While the hickory snaps
In its ember bed.
The over looker
Looks over
Giving and taking
Care.
Cats listening for
Furry things scurrying by
Dog's making his bed
Closer to the stove
But nobody knows
Where nobody goes.
I see you there
All together now
Every sweet spot
Can turn sour
Depending the way
Thought is turned and held
Dog stands up and
Shakes it off
Only the searcher ever finds
Opens the door and dines.
Winter
The air must be discontented too,as it throws jagged icy daggers at my face.
Mottled black and grey sky, echoes depression like a chorus of sympathetic, yet helpless friends.
The snow has no choices, or opinions.
It simply lives it's life as the snows before.
Born of clouds, it falls through air, joining it's siblings on the ground below.
Dogs and Children revel in it's family reunion. It's kinder to them, I thought while shivering.
Frozen breath and wet clammy eyes, watching a world turn from green and brown to white.
Age and Winter do not mix, I mused again. Like Cognac and Ginger Ale.
The fit's all wrong.
This scene is for the Canines and kids.
The rest of us just trudge along.
Silence in the city
Silence in the cityMeans buzzing in my ears
Not like the warm
Blanket of unbroken silence
Out on the foggy mountain pass.
Returning to constant temperature
And smiling faces
Quickly replacing
The sour pusses
On all the red necked gooses.
Big white tail
Like a flag;
Come up on the land
For a month
We won't shoot you
We think you're cute
With your grey mouse ears
All stood up straight
How do you walk throught the snow
When it's over eight feet deep?
Back to streetlight colors splashed off
Rain-soaked streets
As snow above
So rain below
Walking through the valley
Of the shadow
Living in the light
Silence in the city
You got an hour between
The last of the last callers
And the droning streetsweeper
Oh, I can't wait a few months
Until the city plow is smashing its blade
Upon my curb? Shaking my bones?
No, bring on the snow,
Bring on the snow!
I don't ski but shoe
But don't you know
I can still get lost in it
Like a child in a blizzard
Who doesn't come home
Until the sun has
Gone down in flames
Over the icy lake.
note to self
Loving under all conditionsIs enlightenment, happiness, and health.
Loving only under some conditions
Is self-limited suffering, from false belief.
If we find ourselves dreaming
It is only to give ourselves
Permission to love only
Under some conditions.
To wake up,
Love under all conditions.
Giving ourselves permission
To love only under some conditions
Ensures suffering until we
Return to loving under all conditions.
Loving under all conditions
Is enlightenment, happiness,and health.

Touch Of Grey / Lyrics By: Robert Hunter
Touch Of Grey
Lyrics By: Robert Hunter
It must be getting early
Clocks are running late
Paint by numbers morning sky
Looks so phony
Dawn is breaking everywhere
Light a candle, curse the glare
Draw the curtains, I don't care
'Cause it's alright
I will get by
I will get by
I will get by
I will survive
I see you got your list out
Say your piece and get out
Yes I got the gist of it
But it's alright
Sorry that you feel that way
The only thing there is to say
Every silver lining's got a
Touch of grey
It's a lesson to me
The Ables and the Bakers and the C's
The A B C's
We all must face
And try to keep a little grace
I know the rent is in arrears
The dog has not been fed in years
It's even worse than it appears
But it's alright
Cows are giving kerosene
The kid can't read at seventeen
The words he knows are all obscene
But it's alright
I will get by
I will get by
I will get by
I will survive
It's a lesson to me
The Deltas and the East and the Freeze
The A B C's
We all think of
And try to keep a little love
The shoe is on the hand it fits
There's really nothing much to it
Whistle through your teeth and split
'Cause it's alright
Oh well a touch of grey
Kind of suits you anyway
That was all I had to say
And it's alright
I will get by
I will get by
I will get by
I will survive
We will get by
We will get by
We will get by
We will survive
more than words can tell...

I was feeling down
Not hearing much good news
So I said a prayer
For all who sing the blues
Soldiers in the battle
Sailors in the storm
Ranchers without cattle
Farmers without corn
Heroes who have fallen
Refugees of war
The victem of the crime
The famine of the poor
Loved ones separated
Workers without jobs
It's hard to be elated
If you can't stop the sobs
While Angels still have wings
And God still has a Son
I'll give it all I have
I'm not the only one
'Cause everything's connected
Like vibrating strings
And Love was resurrected
So that we can sing
Take it to the tower
Take it to the well
Haul it up the mountain
Don't be afraid to yell
'Cause something better's coming
It's blowing in the wind
Could be a change of Spirit
Could be the end of sin
Under the Tree of Life
In the shade of hope
Dream away the strife
Then climb back up the rope
And go down to the river
And wash it all away
A Friend is out there waiting
To help you through today
While Angels still have wings
And God still has a son
I'll give it all I have
I'm not the only one
'Cause everything's connected
Like vibrating strings
And Love was resurrected
So that we can sing

Welcome All Good People
Happy Holidays to the Poet's Corner denizens
With a special salute to Andy, my nominee for Dead.net poet laureate. I don't think that you even get a plaque commemorating this distinguished post (maybe a "Hi! My Name Is" tag with a ribbon on the bottom), but IMHO, a very well-deserved title. Thanks to all for sharing your word-ideas with us this past year!
Dream a little dream of me --- Gus Kahn
Stars shining bright above youNight breezes seem to whisper "I love you"
Birds singin' in the sycamore tree
Dream a little dream of me
Say nighty-night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me
While I'm alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me
Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I'm longing to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me
Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I'm longing to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries far behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

Bullimia & Me
We're a happy familyBulimia and me
Along with our two cats
Lunesta and Ambien
Our two dogs
Flomax and Avodart
and our lizard Cymbalta
Not to mention
Our parakeet named Norco
We're a happy family
Bulimia and me
Along with our whole menagerie
The rest is history
Left for posterity
Laugh if you can
Life is hard in Tweekerville
Ask out policeman Stan
Whose on the job still
Most people have not
With very few a lot
The homeless are left to rot
But the rest of us grow pot
Mexican gang on the corner
Are glad to take your order
Bringing it up from the border
Mick Jagger's words are death
Give me Librium or give me meth!
All you need is Love

What would I do
If not for you?
To see me through
Until those gray skies turn to blue
I see the light
Through those long dark stormy nights
It's shining bright
Causing love to ignite
So bring us together
And roll us into one
Reflections of matter
Shining like the sun
We're climbing a ladder
There's work still to be done
When we're together
We've only just begun
We're seeking the truth
Searching for the fountain of youth
Sometimes we goof
But love is all I need for the proof
Through mountains and forests
I might walk alone
And when I hear angels singing
I'll know that you're calling me home
So bring us together
And roll us into one
Reflections that matter
Shining like the sun
We're climbing a ladder
There's work still to be done
When we're together
We've only just begun
emptiness is always full of bright ideas
better to do this than that
and if it ever
don't feel right
all I need to do
is to:
stop on a dime
go the extra mile
never give an inch
fighting for my right
to freely experiment
when the
spirit of adventure
is fresh in the air
sailing through nowhere
on a wing and a prayer
don't know how
they seem to appear
but it seems okay
so far so far
standing clear
from being someone
that don't seem the way
to go to go
what's left
when there is
only nothingness
nothingness is
far from empty
being full of
thought spheres
floating in motion
like jellyfish
everywhere
everywhere
done done
already
fully
light
better to do
this than that
A few Poems Inspired by Hunter, Barlow, and Music of The Dead
Don't want any money, and this is no spam? Anyone interested in reading a few free poems but not all inspired by the three best songwriters of today, Bob Dylan, Robert Hunter, John Perry Barlow and of course sparked by music of the grateful dead.some of the writing might seem dark at first, but dig deep and you just might notice a common theme of hope, optimism, peace, love, change.
Hope I make you think?

Super Freak (Rick James)
Super FreakRick James
She's a very kinky girl
The kind you don't take home to mother
She will never let your spirits down
Once you get her off the street, ow girl
She likes the boys in the band
She says that I'm her all-time favorite
When I make my move to her room it's the right time
She's never hard to please
{Refrain}
That girl is pretty wild now
The girl's a super freak
The kind of girl you read about
In new-wave magazine
That girl is pretty kinky
The girl's a super freak
I really love to taste her
Every time we meet
She's all right, she's all right
That girl's all right with me, yeah
She's a super freak, super freak
She's super-freaky, yow
Super freak, super freak
She's a very special girl
The kind of girl you want to know
From her head down to her toenails
Down to her feet, yeah
And she'll wait for me at backstage with her girlfriends
In a limousine
Going back in Chinatown
Three's not a crowd to her, she says
"Room 714, I'll be waiting"
When I get there she's got incense, wine and candles
It's such a freaky scene
{Refrain}
{Bridge}
Temptations sing!
Ohhhhh
Super freak, super freak
That girl's a super freak
Ohhhhh
She's a very kinky girl
The kind you don't take home to mother
She will never let your spirits down
Once you get her off the street, ow girl
Blow, Danny!

Infinity party
Midnight trainRolling on
Around another bend
Into another song
I hear the metal
Ringing on metal
And the air blasting by
What have we learned
So far
Keep the pedal to the metal
Don't look in the
Rear view mirror
There's no point
To calling shots
The western side is grand
When the rustler shoots his wife
The undertaker doesn't care
But when the fiddle player
Takes his life
All the town comes out to stare
In the caverns of the basement flat
The red lights all shine down
Hiding all the good times
That never happened there
Out comes the harlot
In her noonday red lace
Entertaining the drunken rioters
Before the fiddlers' funeral
Up in the hotel rooms
they are baking up some meth
before the blue boys come
to take it all down for themselves
On the third floor the people huddle
listening to the gunfire
Out on the street, they say
has it finally come to this?
No, it is just another
Mardi Gras day
Out on the frozen tundra
I ate a little
Rat poison
Now I see so clearly
Right before the lights
went out
I heard
Your voice so clear
Idiot
You said,
The party
was just about to start
You can watch it now
But you can't take part
It's a transglobal
total ongoing
Infinite party
Don't lose sight
You can hear it on the wind
Dont forget again
Midnight train
Rolling on
Around another bend
Into another song
I hear the metal
Ringing on metal
And the air blasting by
What have we learned
So far
All the children know this is nowhere
having a partyin burlington, vt.
cooking meth
eating rat poison
seeing ever more clearly
this is nowhere
now there

Two Oaks
Two Oak trees stand side by sideunique, amidst a dense forest of pine.
growing straight towards the sky
through one millennium into the next.
Their branches brush one another
over and under, in countless positions
when a breeze stirs the air.
Blustery winds cause the crowns to bow towards each other, in respect
or away in distdain
depending on the force of the gale.
The soil at the base of these trees
is fertile from leaves of experience
rotting where they fell.
Creating a rich truffle-ripe humus
black loamy nuggets of gold.
Under the earth, in a dark secret place
the roots of these Oaks have grown tangled
gnarled and twisted, drawing the same food from the ground
impossible to distinguish one from the other
Any attempt to untangle the mesh
and both trunks would quietly die
without anyone knowing the reason
meaty thoughts
Relaxing in the face of chaosbig thick meaty thoughts
because fleshly meat
Quickly begins
to rot
But my meaty thoughts
Stay forever sweet
And another thing
There ain't no such beast
As fleshly meat
Remaining calm
in the state of uncertainty
That is the trick
What does it entail?
Just doing what you're doing
And when you get to
Well, I have no idea
How to proceed!
Take a break
From the rat race
Sit on a mountain side
In your mind
And contemplate
relax
Situate
Breathe
and relate
Relax
In the deep unknown
It was nice to you before
Well just look at you
Now
oh lilly lilly
thank you for posting that
I'll admit to having waited a year or two
to read it, : )
thnx, tl
and, anna rxia, hello!, yes it is a poem about realizing this is nowhere!
thankx for the poetry, all, it riches me up good
Thanks free idea
Had I posted it before? or mentioned that one? cuz you said "I'll admit to having waited..."personally I have trouble with that one-I cannot change the image I am presenting, but the wording bugs me still. Is a poem in progress! But it got a couple of interesting comments on my blog, and in e mails, so decided to post anyhow :)

Mark Twain
Gnarl
Sad and twistedlies the love that has withered
broken and beaten
yet refusing to die
it clings in vain hope
of sunnier days
when the gardener approaches
with the watering can
instead of the pruning shears
warm summer winds
refreshen the blooms
blooms that will not fade
no matter how gaunt
and barren
the winter garden seems
blooms that seek
only the favor of your grace
the sweetness of your embrace
even if only one last time
Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

I thought about this for quite awhile, imbibing in a Modus Hoperandi and a Ranger IPA today:

Roses come in lots of reds
Happy Valentines

The Last Fishing Hole
When do you stopThrowing in the hook?
When I was a young boy
I tipped off a sapling
Wrapped it with a piece of string
And stole a hook from
my dad's tackle box
And set off down the road
I was headed to the fishing hole
It was in the next town
By a green metal bridge
Around the bend
From the corner store
I would poke a worm on the hook
That I'd dug up at midnight
In the rain with my dad
And kept in a little dirt box
Until now when I threw it in
Into the fishing hole
With a rope swing over there
Later on to be used
In the afternoon
With sounds of children laughing
And how they would
Dare each other to
Jump off the bridge
And make the biggest splash
But my time was at dawn
The misty morning smells
Rising off the hayfields
As I walked by
When I became of driving age,
the mall got built nearby
And the water started
To grow green with algae
Soon there was no place
To throw in a hook
And nothing was done
Because nobody but me
Fished there anymore
When it all falls down on you
Don't blame it on loveWhen it all falls down
On you
Don't blame it on love
Oh, you can if you want to
But it will not
Make it true
When it all falls down on you
Don't blame it on love
Don't blame it on love
You can do it if you want to
But it won't make it true
Don't blame it on love
When you know it was you
Telling lies
You knew weren't true
Hiding behind a disguise
That was never you
Who is left for you to fool
When it all falls down
On you
You can't blame love
It is not love
That did this to you
It's you
So don't blame it on love
Don't blame it on love
Or, you can do it if you want
But it won't make it true
Don't blame it on love
When it all falls down
On you
MIND is mandala
Mind is LoveA mandala
The closer you arrive
Into the center
The better it is
If you are
Getting a little cold
Standing where you are
Move closer to the fire
Of love
Mind is Love
A mandala
Moving closer
To the center
Means surrender
Or hold your self away
For some gratuitous turbulence
But why not allow your fingers to part
And let the feather
Fly in the wind
Mind is Love
A mandala
Seen from the center
Looking out on what
All my friends
Know
The sound of my voice
All may ever freely enter
We can talk about the roses
And the craftmanship that went into
Constructing the gate
But sooner than later
Let us
Have our ticket torn
And enter the house
The house of sound and light
Where the flying masters are presently
Experimenting
Let us be
Silent and listening
For a moment in time
To experience their absolute joy
Expressed in sound
We come together al-one
Mind is Love
A mandala
Move towards the center
The sound is better
Voices -- Russ Ballard
If you could see my mind, if you really look deep,
then maybe you'll find
That somewhere there will be a place,
hidden behind my comedian face
You will find somewhere there's a house,
and inside that house there's a room
Locked in the room in the corner you see
A voice is waiting for me, to set it free,
I got the key, I got the key
Voices, I hear voices
In my head the voice is waiting,
waiting for me to set it free
I locked it inside my imagination,
but I'm the one who's got the combination
Some people didn't like what the voice did say
So I took the voice and I locked it away,
I got the key, I got the key
Voices, I hear voices, voices, I hear voices
Chorus:
Don't look back, look straight ahead,
don't turn away, then the voice it said
Don't look back, yesterday's gone,
don't turn away, you can take it on
(Solo)
Voices, I hear voices, voices, I hear voices
(chorus repeats 3x)
Voices, voices, voices, voices - don't look back
Voices, voices
(chorus repeats 2x)...
A happy man
It wasn't a happy man
It wasn't a happy man who fired the opening rounds
It wasn't a happy man who formed the first fist
It wasn't a happy man who started the first war
It wasn't a happy man who threw the first stone
I am a happy man
Why would I follow that unhappy man?
I am a happy man
Who is not made happier by a deadlier weapon
Or a more cutting remark
The examples of my life
Are other happy people
I follow their footsteps
Not the steps
Of that unhappy man
It was not a happy man who started the first fight
It was not a happy man who caused the atomic light
It was not a happy man who kept the woman down
It was not a happy man who burnt the towers to the ground
I am a happy man
I am travelling the other way
From that unhappy man
But I understand
Happiness ends most problems
In a grateful smile
Brought me out of
A nose dive
Made me
Glad to be alive
A happy man
let your soul smile awhile
Slim's Chance
3/11/10
He was born in the diggins'
Back in '54
His daddy a miner
His momma a whore
And just like the pickins'
They called his name Slim
And daddy soon died
When a tunnel caved in
He was raised in a barroom
Until he was four
Then the diggins' dried up
And the town was no more
From Yuba to Boise
Then Leadville they rode
Just like momma said
They would follow the gold
He learned how to gamble
And drink with the rest
And when he was twelve
Shot a thief in the chest
When the gold all played out
Momma headed back west
And Slim took a job
With the Pony Express
He rode like the wind
With hardly a care
Except for the injuns
Who wanted his hair
But the life was too fast paced
And Slim was still young
So he filed a land claim
Up in Oregon
He met a young missy
And made her his wife
They vowed that they'd both be
Together for life
They built a nice cabin
To shelter their heads
And he grew the wheat
While she baked the bread
One day the news came
A new strike was on!
There's buckets of gold
Up in the Yukon
The wife and Slim argued
But Slim made it clear
He'd be back with a fortune
Inside a year
Slim headed up north
Oh he had to move fast
But winter came on
And closed Chilicoot Pass
Oh fate can be fickle
When you're chasing your dreams
By the time he hit Dawson
They'd claimed all the seams
Two years had gone by
Before Slim got home
Dressed all in rags
With nothin' to show
He thought that he'd tell her
That he's done with that life
But a city-boy dandy
Had stolen his wife
She'd took all they had
And sold his fine claim
He thought then and there
He might blow out his brains
But momma once said
A man carries his load
And doesn't stop ridin'
Till the end of the road
So Slim dried his eyes
And picked himself up
He poured out a dram
And downed the whole cup
He packed up his outfit
Of horse, gun, and pan

Grantchester Meadows - Roger Waters
Grantchester Meadows (Waters)
"Icy wind of night be gone this is not your domain"
In the sky a bird was heard to cry.
Misty morning whisperings and gentle stirring sounds
Belied the deathly silence that lay all around.
Hear the lark and harken to the barking of the dog fox
Gone to ground.
See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water.
And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees
Laughing as it passes through the endless summer
Making for the sea.
In the lazy water meadow I lay me down.
All around me golden sun flakes settle on the ground.
Basking in the sunshine of a bygone afternoon
Bringing sounds of yesterday into this city room.
Hear the lark harken to the barking of the dark fox
Gone to ground.
See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water.
And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees.
In the lazy water meadow I lay me down.
All around me golden sun flakes covering the ground.
Basking in the sunshine of a bygone afternoon
Bringing sounds of yesterday into this city room.
Hear the lark harken to the barking of the dark fox
Gone to ground.
See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water.
And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees,
Laughing as it passes through the endless summer making for the sea.
Sweet Release
If it is sweet release you need,The word for today is already
You are already out
For you were never in
Never born to never die
If nothing is ever born
What is there ever to die?
Springtime and Flowers
Human raceFloating through space
A tiny drop of life
Among the stars
Precious mind
A living eye
Where space and time
And dreams collide
And we're light years away
Where we started from
Dancing in circles
And banging the drum
Over the rainbow
Or under the gun
Let it shine
Precious mind
Springtime and Flowers
Human raceFloating through space
A tiny drop of life
Among the stars
Precious mind
A living eye
Where space and time
And dreams collide
And we're light years away
Where we started from
Dancing in circles
And banging the drum
Over the rainbow
Or under the gun
Let it shine
Precious mind
Saint Stephen
Saint Stephen with a roseIn and out of the garden he goes
Country garland in the wind and the rain
Wherever he goes the people all complain
