    Thanks Colin, 54

Probably more essential for me... John Hammond(Junior)'s father was an essential and incredible music source/producer, impossible to cover briefly all the music he helped bring forth, including Billie Holiday, Springsteen, Dylan, Aretha, even SRV. Jr. grew up immersed, hearing so much great stuff and being around eventually famous musicians, but he stuck with the simple acoustic blues. Dave's 54 announcement made me drag out the B&W photos I managed to make that night, stage set up looks pretty minimal, no tie dye speaker covers, short stacks, Jerry is on Alligator.

No, but a possible sighting this morning a block away. She sounded like she had seen his wanted poster and it looked like him but... didn't find him.
Trail camera has seen 3 others coming to the "community" bowl the gal has two blocks over but not him. Having trouble getting the camera to cooperate and take those 7 second motion activated pics all night. Back to the instruction book. Thanks for asking. May have to go the trap route.
    Yes, Moses is a cool-cat!
    Cheers

I’ve played the Sonic Journals CD once through and will revisit it. On first hearing the guitar playing is very good ,the vocals are mainly good although they occasionally drop down in level on the recording. The between song stories/introductions are inaudible through my speakers, presumably he didn’t talk close enough to the microphone. I’ll have to listen on headphones to see if they can be heard. I enjoyed the shows but it’s probably the least essential of the Sonic Journal releases IMO.

https://youtu.be/zPuyT6EtRQ0 interesting interview with Zimmy on his website last week, the most he's opened up in decades.... http://bobdylan.com/news/qa-with-bill-flanagan/ He is on an old blue eyes kick, has a new 3 CD set coming out this week of Sinatra, he's no Enrico Caruso but when he interprets Frank, at least he tries to do those immortal tunes justice.
