A fun, beautiful show on a gorgeous summer Saturday afternoon in the PNW. My youngest brother in town for an extended visit that ran through Eugene and beyond - seeing shows, backpacking the Olympics and Cascades, camping at Tahkenitch. Jerry's first public performance with Lightning Bolt - not that we knew that - all we "knew" was it all sounded fantastic. This show was just exactly perfect and would make a mighty fine official release.

Playing the brand spanking new reissue of Feats Don't Fail Me Now. It's a 3 CD set, with the original album remastered, a disc of outtakes, and a live set. Always liked the original LP, and grateful to have two 'new' discs of Lowell.

    Garcia Live Volume 21 2/13/76 Keystone. :)

I purchased the CDs, ripped them twice, and then proceeded to listen on a streaming service. I don't know why I do anything at all sometimes...

    It's nice though....

Love that this an official release. I was there. This was sort of a prelude to me following the GOGD for the next six years or so to the best of my ability. Good folks at local radio station WLIR. I still say the Calderone was a crappy venue, but they had great shows!

Too bad more bands didn’t have the foresight to hit record every night.

The collector in me wants everything organized by show date.
I even have the Ummagumma live album in its own folder with the date.
I don’t do it to all non-GD bands. A lot of live albums are sourced from an entire tour so I leave them that way.

It's the bane of my life ( slight exaggeration) that Dicks Picks with segments of this and two other 1974 shows. I have never made notes about which song comes from which show, so I always have to get Deadbase down to try and figure it out. Either that or just forget about it and play the cds as they are.

Big Moon Ritual is a solid record, front to back.If you haven't heard their stuff, you should definitely check them out. Also, any live material you can find is worth a look.
