We had exchanged smiles in the chow line at the dorm before but I'm sure I was too shy to go further even after the recognition at Red Rocks. And I was not in classes by summer 1978. Had one frosh class in '75-'76 with her IIRC. I think she was from Fountain, near Colo. Spgs. The dorm had a schedule for meals that involved different wings coming at set times to avoid a crush. We had a regular bong session daily M-F that centered around watching Star Trek at 4PM while doing endless bongs playing Spades or Hearts and then we would go a little earlier than our required time to catch her and her wing-girls in line. Probably said wow these guys reek of Columbian!

And glad to enjoy it…I can picture the whole thing lol
So did you talk to her later on now that you had something in common?

Ok, onto 1970. Thanks BC think I had those and something else marked as POTD but I was outta round to it’s at the time.
Gonna start with 1/2&3/70 but will definitely check those out soon!
Tanks BC!…and ISTSHOW fer da mammeries yuck, yuck…sorry, couldn’t resist.

Edit: now if we knew about the “girl with lobotomy eyes” he dedicated an encore to, maybe a us Bluzz, but can’t remember show off top of my pointy head?

Glad I could shed some light on that. I think I've told it before but it has got to be my best GD show story and one I will never forget! Did I mention the Daisy Mae cut-offs she had on?

Finishing up 10-29-77 Dekalb. Very nice NFA in there!

Why Bob said it was truly one of those little mysteries in my mind that I never expected to be answered . . . . I can't stop laughing!

    Those stairs are steep!

Pretty sure she was from CO. Tall, like 6'2", and as Lennon said, "you could say she was attractively built". She ended up front and center by the 2nd set and not sure she said anything to Bob but he certainly could not miss her or avert his gaze, lol. The lettering on the gauzy blouse was large and what was beneath it covered some real estate. Before the beginning of the show I literally ran into her from behind as the crowd was pushing their way up the stairs and when the people in front of her stopped everyone behind stacked up like falling dominos. I didn't even know it was her. That's when she turned around and smiled and I was at eye level with her beauty standing one step below. Unforgettable! Couldn't believe it was the dorm fantasy girl smiling at me.

I've long wondered what Bob was responding to when he said I'm moving to Australia but truthfully never would have guessed it revolved around a beauty in a see-through blouse that read Australia!! Makes perfect sense now!! Even better that you knew her!!

...in the see-through blouse (and no bra, hey it was the '70s) that said Australia on it! Kind of like something you'd see on rescue boat teams. I walked right into her walking in on the stairs and got the biggest smile from her as I worshipped from below. She went to CSU and lived in my dorm. We would try to time our dinner so as to be in line with her, lol. Bobby couldn't help but notice!

Still in the July '78 box with 1stShow's 1st show - I can only imagine! Right now "rewinding" from yesterday to Disc 2 and Estimated onward.

Oro - right near the beginning of 1970 are Springer's Inn (1/16) and Oregon State (1/17) - they good!

    Hey 1970 freaks!
Looking for some recommendations for the year 1970.
Please include only UNRELEASED shows that are available in the archive,
AND that you actually know is good, not something you just read about off the internet somewhere…
Almost time to continue my quest, starting off with a little 1970.

    So many good songs.
Runnin' Down a Dream - Mike Campbell! I remember seeing it performed live on SNL where Mike just shreds that ending.
    Cheers

Moving on to Joe Cocker - Sheffield Steel - Joe always had great back up bands.

    Then Abbey Road
