Finishing up this stellar bit, after feasting on DP 36 Philadelphia the other day ...

    Four before that:
Miles Smiles (It had been a LONG time)
Bob - Blood on the Tracks
The Very Best of Jackson Browne
Santana - Abraxas (still flippin' great)

    Goldring brothers

Rearrange letters and add one or two

A name like Goldring would have sufficed

Reaching for the gold ring down inside

So earlier today on POTDWD Doc said that it was National Felt Forum Day(!!) - so 12/5/71 it is!!

(small side note) - interesting that Wash My Hands followed Brown Eyed Women - 2 Jerry songs back to back - def not the 1st set norm in this era.

Not sure I’d heard 11/26 before, but dug the hell outta it and forgot how much I dig 1980!
Onto 11/28, which I’ve heard via Boxilla, but another fine, under played show!

I can remember seeing their name about in adverts for albums or gigs, but I never actually heard them. Or anyone talk about them, for that matter. Possibly because no one was quite sure how to pronounce it. Something they might have been wise to consider when starting out!

I am listening to Dick's Picks Vol. 29 which contains 5/19/77. As a big fan of the Spring '77 Tour, the fact that Get Shown The Light was released, and that this year honors 40 years of '77 Dead despite what seasonal tour it is, I have been listening to the show of the given day back in 1977 if I can. So today, it's 5/19/17 so therefore I am choosing to enjoy 5/19/77 again, its a great show, however I like 5/21/77 more (also contained in Dick's Picks Vol. 29), but love 5/22/77 (Dick's Picks Vol. 3) in regards to the next upcoming dates. 5/25/77 is okay, despite the highly priced collector's value of it (Dave's Picks Vol. 1) it is not as magical compared to the other 3 dates I just mentioned. To each their own! I have listened to these shows, and so many more, countless times and still love them all. Have fun and enjoy. Happy 40 years worth of 1977 Dead and here's to another 40 more!
