Grateful Dead

This handbill was passed out to fans outside of a Grateful Dead Show at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, California, late April 1989.It looks like this show was rescheduled for the Universal Amphitheatre for 22 May 1989. The Jerry Garcia Band also played the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre on 19 May. There were a couple of practical reasons for the reschedule - the Grateful Dead agreed to Bill Graham's request to headline a multi-billed outdoor show at Oakland Stadium on 27 May - The Concert Against AIDS - Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir were also playing in John Fogerty's band that day (with country music artist Randy Jackson on bass). So they had to get in a few day's rehearsal with John Fogerty before the performance date.
