Grateful Dead

decidedly more than 19 years ago (sheeesh) I was fresh outa High School, in the navy, and wondering why all these people in tan (khaki) clothing were yelling at me..that's where I met Dan. I didn't spend any measurable time in Cali until '84, when Dan started draggin' me to shows, (he'd already been tossin' me tapes for years). Go to my profile and you'll see what years can do. The little fellow on his shoulders is all grown up......'90 was the last time I remember camping in this lot, but I think it was still open in '92..

I loved that parking lot. I think, by '92, they were no longer letting us camp there but as late as 90, the Cal Expo lot was one of the best campground/parking lot scenes on the west coast. J.T. Gossard http://thehallucinogenicbible.blogspot.com/

That 1992 was 19 years ago. I keep thinking that the 70s were 19 yrs ago. Scares the crap out of me whenever I do the math... I gotta say, johnman, that in this pic you look a lot like someone I knew 19 yrs ago (in the 70s, that is).
