Grateful Dead

This is the ticket stub from my first Dead show: May 14th 1974 Adams Field House, Missoula MT Eight of us drove up from Hamilton that night for the show, I was 15 years old. A strange and magical evening to say the least. We got these cool 4x4 inch stickers of the album art for Wake of the Flood, Garcia (Compliments), and Hunter's album Tales of the Great Rum Runners at a table in the arena. I wish I knew where those got to... One of our party decided to walk home (50 miles!), and we couldn't talk him out of it. Half an hour later, after crossing town and just getting to the open highway, there he was on the side of the road hitching. We never could figure out how he got there before us, and he wouldn't (or couldn't) tell us. He must have gotten a ride with someone else, but the timing really didn't work out... Anyway, I always loved the mystery and magic in and outside the Dead shows...
