Virginia-based Threesound brought the house party down (quite literally) with their youthful take on "Franklin's Tower." But their roots in jazz, funk, jam, dance and beyond spell more than just fun. Get to know these college kids on the brink of something bigger right here...
Who is playin' in the band?
Bobby Crim- drums/lead vocals, Andrew Renner- lead guitar, Alex Swafford- bass, John Hayes- guitar/vocals
Tell us a little bit about your musical backgrounds and how you formed.
We were born in the desert and raised in a lion's den...but seriously we all grew up in Winchester, VA and met through middle and high school marching and jazz ensembles.
What made you pick "Franklin's Tower" for your Dead Covers Project performance this year?
There were only three chords to remember, and we didn't have enough time to learn "Eyes of the World."
What can we expect from Threesound for the rest of 2014?
Shows, shows, shows and....more shows! Our soundbound groove train will be continually spreading its musical seed throughout the Mid-Atlantic and other sections of the East coast. It means so much when we go to a town and have enthusiastic fans who like to be lively and dance!!! Be a good person and support live music.
