Last of four featuring an unreleased soundboard recording of 7/15/88 at the Greek Theater in Berkeley CA.
The "El Paso" in this program, from the Pacific Northwest boxed set, is unusual: the vocals were missing from several songs in the first set of 5/19/74 - not sure what caused the problem, but it was eventually resolved. I thought it was interesting to hear what the band was doing behind the vocals.
Also in this show, a track from a wonderful record by Joe Craven and the Sometimes Joe was a member of the David Grisman Quintet for many years, and he was also part of the Garcia-Grisman ensemble that recorded and played live many times in the last few year of Jerry Garcia's life. Garcia Songbook offers brilliant new takes on songs we know well from Jerry's various projects. I recommend the record with maximum enthusiasm!
Enjoy!
