Grateful Dead Hour no. 168
Week of December 9, 1991
Featured: Excerpt from from Halloween 1991, recorded a few days after concert promoter and longtime friend of the band Bill Graham and two others died in a helicopter crash.
Gary Duncan, a member of Quicksilver Messenger Service back in the day, joined in for parts of this, and during "Dark Star," Ken Kesey came onstage to eulogize Bill with (among other things) a slightly misquoted reading of e.e. cummings' poem "Buffalo Bill's."
