Week of June 19, 1995
First of two programs featuring unreleased live Grateful Dead music from 5/14/70.
Also: An undated home recording of "Mr Charlie" by Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. Pigpen sang it with the Grateful Dead (at every single show on the Europe '72 tour!), and Hunter has sole writing credit on this one.
And: The legendary Harry Belafonte's recording of "Man Smart, Woman Smarter," a calypso classic that entered the Dead's live repertoire in the early '80s.
Enjoy!
