    Grateful Dead Hour no. 795

This week's archival GD Hour podcast continues the interview with legendary GD roadie Steve Parish upon the publication of his memoir, Home Before Daylight. The music is part 1 of the first set of 7/18/90, sadly one of the last with keyboardist Brent Mydland, who died shortly after the band came home from the tour. We'll hear the rest of this set, and the conclusion of the Parish interview, in next week's episode.

    Enjoy!

    Brent
I have to say, Brent was freaking great. He was so talented and ripped the keys. I loved his style, his vocals and I liked Tons of Steel. 1990 was my first show and I've happily never been the same.

I miss the way Brent made Jerry smile...then it spread out to all of us. Does God look down on the boys in the bar room? Jacks Kings and Aces, their faces in wine. Do lord, deliver our kind.
