    Grateful Dead Hour no. 83

    Week of April 23, 1990

By request, an all-music show recorded September 29, 1989 at Shoreline. This set includes a spectacular performance of Rev. Gary Davis' "Death Don't Have No Mercy," revived by the band after nearly 20 years! I loved Jerry Garcia's guitar solo on that song so much that I nominated the track for inclusion in the boxed set So Many Roads (1965-1995). The rest of the show is great, too. Enjoy!
