I have a great pic of Bill at Phil's 70th bday party show in SF. The lights are streaming from his head. GREAT PIC
Welcome home good buddy
I can remember and this goes back before Howard Stern was the face of Sirius radio, before Stern made his debuted broadcast on Sirius Radio. If you wanted to hear Dead music you tuned on Sirius17 The Jam. After a few months of broadcasting The Dead on The Jam station, Bill Walton was asked and excepted a job playing Live Dead on Saturday nights. In fact during Walton's very first broadcast, he played about an hour of Mozart. This created a fan backlash towards Walton, not so much because he played mozart during a Dead Live hour , rather bec Sirius radio offered up a limited amount of time for Bill to play live Dead. I believe the show ran from 9:00pm till a little after midnight EST. I personally found the programing time to be a way of traveling back in time to the days when Live Dead hours were played across the country either on NPR or some FM if you lived in Berkley area of Ca. I tapped quite a few of Walton's Sirius shows if anyone is interested and it's legal like the concerts for me to share the shows with fans. Anyway welcome back Bill. I know i've missed you.
