Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1970, 1972, and 1989.
Our first stop is from one of the most famous and best runs of the shows the Dead ever did, the February Fillmore East shows. From opening night on 2/11/70, we have Not Fade Away, Cumberland Blues, Cold Rain And Snow, High Time, Me And My Uncle.
Next is a big batch of first set music from 11/22/72 in Austin, TX, toward the end of the third and final leg of the Fall Tour of 1972. From this great city in Texas, we have Sugaree; Mexicali Blues ; Loser ; Black Throated Wind ; China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider; Beat It On Down The Line ; Candyman ; El Paso ; Bird Song; Playing In The Band.
Lastly this week is the second set form the final show the Grateful Dead ever played the Kaiser in Oakland, on 2/7/89: Iko Iko ; Victim Or The Crime ; We Can Run ; Uncle John's Band ; Drums ; Space ; The Wheel ; Throwing Stones ; Foolish Heart ; Good Lovin'.
