    Love me some fall 1973

Grateful to have attended this fine show in Indy. I sure remember Steve Parish leading a big guy from the stage who'd jumped up to see the lovely, and pregnant, Donna Jean Godcheaux during Greatest Story Ever Told.

Week of July 24-30, 2023

Welcome back to the Taper’s Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1972, 1973, and 1989.

Our first stop this week is the typically hot 1972 second set jam from 10/24/72 in Milwaukee, where we have Truckin'> Drums > The Other One> He's Gone> The Other One, including a cool split Other One.

Next is a big batch of first set music plus the first two songs of the second set from 10/27/73 in Indianapolis, just 12 days after the release of Wake Of The Flood, where we have They Love Each Other; Jack Straw ; Ramble On Rose ; El Paso ; Brown Eyed Women ; Greatest Story Ever Told; Loose Lucy; Beat It On Down The Line; China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider, start set 2 Me and My Uncle>Bertha.

Lastly this week is the first set from the penultimate show of the Fall Tour of 1989 on 10/25/89 in Miami, where we have Hell In A Bucket; Sugaree; Just A Little Light ; Friend Of The Devil; Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again ; Cold Rain And Snow; Picasso Moon; Deal.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
