Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1972, 1973, and 1987.
Our first stop is on 9/15/72 in Boston on opening night of the Dead’s Fall Tour of 1972, where we have He's Gone ; Me And My Uncle ; Bird Song ; Mexicali Blues ; Ramble On Rose.
Next is music from 9/17/73 in Syracuse, where we have this nice batch of first set Dead: Sugaree ; Mexicali Blues ; Loser ; Looks Like Rain ; Row Jimmy.
Lastly this week is the entire first set from opening night of the Dead’s five night run at Madison Square Garden on 9/15/87, where we have Hey Pocky Way; New Minglewood Blues; When Push Comes To Shove ; Beer Barrel Polka Tuning ; Me And My Uncle> Mexicali Blues; Row Jimmy; Queen Jane Approximately; Tennessee Jed; The Music Never Stopped. This was the first time I saw the Dead at MSG.

The 9/15/87 show was also my first Dead show at MSG and the 1st time I heard them do Hey Pocky Way. 1987 was the first year I saw more than 2 shows - this was number 9.
Was on the floor in back on the risers, during Sugar Mags we going up and down about a foot, did 6 shows in 8 days was shot after that.
