Greetings, and welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music from 1970, 1978 and 1989, three great years in Grateful Dead history.
Our first selection is from 2/11/70 at the Fillmore East in New York City, the first night of a three show run at the Fillmore. From this show, we have Not Fade Away, Cumberland Blues, Cold Rain and Snow, High Time, Me and My Uncle.
Next up is the end of the first set from 2/4/78 in Milwaukee, featuring Beat It On Down The Line; Candyman; It's All Over Now ; Deal. This is the middle night of a three night Midwest swing of Madison, Milwaukee and Cedar Falls, which followed three nights in Chicago.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 2/5/89, the first show of what would turn out to be a great year in Dead history. From this show, we have Cold Rain And Snow ; Man Smart (Woman Smarter) ; Standing On The Moon ; Playin' In The Band. This is the debut performance of Standing On The Moon.
