Week of November 4-10, 2024
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from three distinct periods in the band’s history, from 1969, 1976, and 1982.
Our first stop this week is in Atlanta on 7/7/69, where we have this classic 1969 sequence to end the show: St. Stephen> The Eleven> Turn On Your Lovelight.
Next is the first set from 10/1/76 in Indianapolis, where we have Bertha, Mama Tried, Deal ; Cassidy, Friend Of The Devil, Big River, Brown Eyed Women, It's All Over Now, Scarlet Begonias, The Promised Land.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from the 4/11/82 at Nassau Coliseum, where we have Bertha > Samson And Delilah ; Never Trust A Woman ; He's Gone > Truckin'.
Be sure to stop in next week for more music from the vault.

Started with a dark star perhaps?
I already messed up my 30 days guess today. Jumped the gun on a pick. Doh! But it did go right into a St. Stephen so this fits right in.
Cheers
That and a nice cup of coffee
1stShow - I knew you'd be here and was hoping you'd see that if you were still in doubt!
Double Doh!
You have got to be kidding me!
Dave, you sly dog.
Can't believe he did that.
Cheers

Hi David, When tried to…
Hi David, When tried to submit my guess for 30 Days of the Dead, British Columbia wasn't an option. So, I couldn't participate. Is there anything that can be done?
Again the answer is confirmed.
Like the 4th time the answer to 30 dod 2024 was in the tapers section. Super sly Dave. You'd make a good easter egg hider. Everyone gets an egg. Your a good man Dave. The 76 show is totally incredible. Like their practicing for the Super Spring of 77 tour into Englishtown. You can hear Keith starting to find the sweet spots that fill the dead air between notes. Really noticeable on FOTD. . And Donna fits like a glove with the boys vocals. Seemed flat 48 years ago after the 74 run up. Amazing set list and behind everyone backs they were practicing Terrapin Station. And we just had the Alhambra concert with the release of Terrapin live first time just a few days ago on 30 dod. Great site for so many things. Again, Thanx Dave and Co.
He is a sly one
I read my messages and recent posts in the morning before I do the 30 days so I wondered what is this person talking about. It cannot get any easier than an only one possibility answer so we're not giving anything away here. Interesting that this time the answer was within the given selection and not in another part of the show not here on the screen. Bluecrow and I have been discussing this trend in messages between us. Good spotting there PFF!
Cheers
Ha - I knew it!
I was thinking for sure today's show get highlighted somewhere recently but couldn't remember where. Thanks for the detective work PFF and 1stShow. A sly one indeed Dave is!
