    I'm not in a band, but I am a songwriter. I write commercial pop and country music, which I realize is not what you'd expect from a Deadhead. My commercial songs are professionally recorded with studio musicians and singers. You can head some of my work at http://www.rowtown.net I also write some singer/songwriter material for myself, which I don't have professional recordings of. I recently tried my hand at self-producing one of them, which can be heard at the above link. That one is called "When It Came to You".

    Hey now! gr8FLdüde & frenz was formed in 2007 and has been performing throughout North Georgia on a regular basis ever since. Consisting of many veterans of the Atlanta jam-band scene, the band has become well-known for performing both on festival stages and "an evening with..." consisting of two long sets per show from a repertoire of well over 100 original compositions and cover songs (mainly comprised of Dead and Garcia tunes). gr8FLdüde & frenz is the only band to perform at every one of the annual Jerry Day ATL celebrations. Check out our FB page where you can check out some live performance videos from many gigs over the past 9+ years and stay in touch with what's happening on the DeadHead scene in Georgia as we are tightly connected with all of the Dead cover bands in the state. peace, Lewis Newmark, bandleader gr8FLdüde & frenz www.facebook.com/gr8fuldude

We are a bunch of "old" dead heads who just love to jam as often as possible (our goal is once a week but life sometimes gets in the way) We just play for fun with no real agenda. We do the music of the Dead, Dylan, Beatles, other assorted stuff and even originals. I always like to say that we are a drum circle with a lot of guitars. But in fact we are looking for a drummer and or percussionist and keyboard player. If you are interested in joining us (even occasionally) contact me at mrgratefu@aol.com. Leave me your phone number and a little bit about you and we will contact you.

We started covering dead tunes while in college in the mid 70s, leaning heavily on Anthem, Aoxomoxoa, and Skullfuck. 36 years later we have reunited and are at it once again. Seems we are stuck in Europe '72 and can't get out.

We would be most grateful if you would check out our band. We are an improv band consisting of 6 members from 3 cities in 3 different states. We only get together to play live and most everything is made up on the spot, we do fall into an occassional cover by The Dead, Pink Floyd,Dylan or an old traditional and an occassional original, but nothing is ever planned or rehearsed. Because of this we have hours and hours of live recordings but very little tracked out which makes it hard to post. Two people however have posted you tube videos of us, they can be found by googling Spongecake And The Fluff Ramblers. Also, our percussionist can be found on you tube playing with Robert Randolph and The Family Band and has recorded with Rob Wasserman,Stephen Perkins, Steven Molitz, and Willie waldman. Please check out our tunes and let us know what think.Peace and Love Spun Fluffington

I played in a band called Single Shipper for four months. We played pop-punk/ grunge (kind of different for these forums i know lol) we didnt play any shows because of money and travel problems. But we split cos' my drummer was heavily envolving himself around drinking and pot smokeing which was affecting his playing and concentration. But also cos'..... he wanted to play speed metal. A: Not really too much into that & B: I'm not that and what I mean by "that skilled" I mean "THAT SKILLED" enough to play that kind of music haha. I'm mostly good at three/four chord progressions, covers (Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead, Social Distortion, Sublime etc...) But before that and to this day I'm a solo artist and would rather prefer that over being in a band :) (PE(A)CE)

Hey Now! I'm an old deadhead, so glad I made it! I've been "out of touch" for a few years but so glad to be back. I'm a musician who plays a very unusual instrument, a "Prizim" which is a glorified Autoharp. 37 strings. I have just uploaded a bunch o dead tunes, including Terrapin, Eyes, Birdsong and some others. Bluesy Black Peter. take a look, enjoy. Website is coming in a few weeks. www.youtube.com/otto5ification enjoy!

Hey now everyone,For over 15yrs I've been a gigging/session drummer from central Massachusetts who is fortunate to play in all kinds of bands and with all kinds of great musicians in the central and western portions of Mass. I play with bands/projects that range from jazz, organ funk, hyper-eclectic blues-funk-rock to bands with Dead heavy set list. I even have a couple GD/Jerry based projects in the works for next year! If you're from or ever around these areas of Mass, let me know or check out my (shameless plug) facebook page as I usually post any gigs I'm doing there. https://www.facebook.com/Drumma75 And if you or someone you know is a pro/semi-pro level player looking for a drummer in the aforementioned locations, let me know! Especially if it's Dead related ;) Thanks for your time!

Please stop by our FB page or Web site and say hI! https://www.facebook.com/TheGarciaProject www.thegarciaproject.com The Garcia Project faithfully channels and projects the feelings, emotions and music that propelled the Jerry Garcia Band and the fans through many years of musical bliss. Its about family, soul searching, rejoicing, contemplating, celebrating, seeking truth and loving one another. Its The Garcia Project. Kat Walkerson adds heartfelt and soulful female vocals to the mix. She brings an awesome energy to the project and you can feel her love for this music though her singing. She exudes positive vibes and her smiles are a testament to her appreciation of the music. Kat has had the pleasure of singing with Melvin Seals and JGB, Stella Blue's Band, Legion of Jerry, to name a few bands. Mik Bondy fills the "Jerry" role with modesty and an understanding that no one can replace Jerry - but that we all together can rejoice in his music. Mik has constructed two tribute guitars and a recreation of Jerry's actual guitar amps, effects and speakers. Mik loves to jam and has played with his other band "Tapestry" for over twenty years. A long time jerry-head, Mik enjoyed the last few years of Jerry's life following the JGB around whenever he could. Tom Lee has played in numerous groups from the 60's on through today. He used to have a crack equipment crew to haul his Hammond B3 and leslies back in the day but now enjoys the marvel that is the new Hammond XK3C and a new road leslie! Tom fills the keyboard role and really gets into it. Since adding some GD Jerry tunes to the mix he has added some piano sounds as well and really fills up the air with some heavy swells!

My friend and I are in process of putting together a Christian jam band. We plan to play originals as well as hymns, gospel, praise and worship music, but all with plenty of jamming and jiving. We're not what you'd call "fundies." More like ecumencial, mystic Christian lefties, but who needs categories?

I haven't posted in this thread since 2008! So, I figure a refresher is in order. Here's theCAUSE at our annual Potter County party. A lovely, annual gathering of 150-250 friends where we play music, hang out, eat & drink and be together for 3 days. We've tightened up the band a bit. Here, Patti Spadaro (guitar) and Andrea Pearl (backing vocals) sit in with us. Check out our site: www.theCAUSEjams.com and we hope you'll enjoy (as well as "LIKE") our videos on the Dead Covers Project!!

Hey Dead family! I have really been enjoying all the amazing covers during this months project. Thanks for the inspiration! We play original music that is inspired, in part, by the Dead's early 70's sound. We also do a yearly Halloween show as the Dead...here's a clip from 2010. If you want to hear our original music (I promise it will be worth your time!) go to themayflies dot com. All of our music is availble to stream on our music page. Peace!

G'day, eh? Grateful We're Not Dead is a country, party band that will entertain for food and beer, not necessarily in that order. We are located in the Ottawa, Canada area and entertain for free at charity events, fund raisers, peace concerts, seniors' residences, nursing homes, private parties, etc. All funds raised are donated to charity. The two main charities we support are Mufindi Orphans Canada and Ottawa Valley Aid for Chernobyl Children. When we perform for a private party, the organizers are required to make a donation to the charity of their choice. All band expenses are paid out of our own pockets so I guess you could say, "We pay to play for you". :) The youngest member of the band is over 50 and the oldest is just under 70. You might say we're getting a little "long in the tooth"; however, we're having fun and will likely continue at it until we can no longer load the equipment in the truck. You can check out our website at http://gratefulwerenotdead.com which in turn links to more Grateful We're Not Dead web presence. If you wish, you can check out a video of the band doing its theme song: Direct Youtube link: http://youtu.be/aiSgujXRiV4 Thank you for your indulgence. :)

The Window Panes are a five-piece ensemble, based out of Winchester, VA, that performs in the acoustic rock / folk / jam genre. We are a middle-aged group of dead heads that have found a blend of acoustic guitars and mandolin with full drum kit and bass backbeats. Drawing from Grateful Dead roots this band has multiple singers in the band, singing originally written material, as well as favorite covers of jam bands of our time. There are links to our upcming shows, ReverbNation.com site, as well as entire shows on archive.org (click on Set Lists) on our home page at: http://www.thewindowpanes.com ...feel free to download free poster art by our mandolin player, Vince. We are hoping to expand our reach to the extended family. We appreciate your support (mailing list sign-up) and any feedback you may wish to dish. Thank you. -ddp, (~);}
