    started by dstache Early '69 Part 1 Our good friend and fellow viner Hippy signed up for a vine on another site and offered me the opportunity to help him put together a vine of the music here. I received 2 DVDs filled to the brim with killer shows from early '69, one of my favorite eras, and perhaps the greatest. Of course, there are the usual hiccups, cuts, fadouts, etc that must be expected from this era. But this is Grade A primal Dead. Thanks to Hippy for allowing me to help him. I grade most of the shows here as A- SBDs, with the notable exception of 2/14, which I grade as a B SBD. The vine will be 2 DVDs of the following shows in SHN/FLAC format: (Disc 1) 1/17, 1/24, 1/25, 1/26, 2/2, 2/4, 2/5, 2/6 and 2/7; and, (Disc 2) 2/12, 2/14, 2/15, 2/21, 2/22, and 3/15. As always, please stay behind the line until your number is called (in other words, wait to sign up until our friend marye creates a forum for this offering). Enjoy!

    I will actually be receiving this from Ltapilot with some other 69 shows in lossless. What that means (since the list I have received includes more shows) is that this vine thread will be outdated. Instead of reseeding this, I will take the latest list and add it onto another vine that I will be starting sometime next week. I hope this vineyard is ready for a nice dose of Pigpen and 1969.

I'm glad people signed up for this one. I was worried it was going to get lost in the onslaught of vines unleased and forumed in recent days. I don't need to tell you all this, but I will anyway, this is phenomenal stuff that belongs in every Deadhead's collection. Sure, the setlists are all pretty much the same, but what incredible setlists they are (Dark Star > Stephen > Eleven > Lovelight). Out to Mark tomorrow.

MITD has informed me that he was unable to copy Disc 2 all at once, but instead had to copy it show by show. It doesn't sound like too big of a deal so I am not going to do anything right now, but let me know if there is a problem with it in the future. I believe the problem originated when I copied the original disc. 3/28 was supposed to be on there but while converting to WAV, and after I had forwarded the originals, I noticed that 3/28 did not copy in its entirety. It was too late for me to do anything abut it. That is why I did not list 3/28 on this vine (though there are a few tracks from the show on disc 2).

Hi! The Early '69 pt. 1 vine is on its way to Deadicated. As dstache says above I had problems copying disc two - I ended up copying each show to my harddrive individually (folder by folder), but the 3/28 show I had to copy shn file by shn file. I haven't done any decompressing yet so I don't know how the 3/28 show will do, it looks like some of its tracks are missing. Other than that... Enjoy! Hi Gang, I've had this vine for close to 2 weeks - the 1st week, I was out of town, the 2nd week, I've been having trouble dowmloading mkwact on my new computer. if I can NOT sort this out by the weekend, I'm going to bypass myself and send to ejjd, and then re-enter my name at the end of the list. strange thing tho, 3-28-69 d1t5 will not copy i get the "crytical redundancy" message . but everything else is fine and looks very tastey !! will have this out by monday at the latest. Hope everyone has a nice weekend !! Thank you dstache !!

That is why I didn't list it as being included. I couldn't get it to open either. I don't know if the disc I got it from was messed up or my computer messed up copying it.
