I'll always take the book over the movie bc then you can envision the story yourself. What really gets me is when they change things for the movie. I understand for time etc... but important parts. Man, that burns me up! Not saying Hannibal is on the same scale as Cuckoo, but when they made Hannibal they totally changed the ending. ?!? Oh well, that's Hollywood for you. :-)

Yes, when I was very small . The main difference I remember is The Emerald City.Originally, the glasses with green lenses made the city emerald. I do love the OZ movie & Return to Oz for that matter. In Return they send Dorothy to the nut house. Ever seen The Never Ending Story? LOVE that movie. Never read the book, there's probably one out there though. I must watch Cuckoo this weekend!
