Many thanks to all involved, and vine on! -- Dead.Net Vines - What It Is & How It Works (We're changing some things for 2009) BACKGROUND: The concept of a "vine" is music sharing through conventional means (e.g. mailing cd's or dvd's) with the sign-up list being on-line. The basic idea is that someone starts (seeds) a vine, made up of one or multiple shows,and sends it via mail to the first person who signs up. That person makes a copy for themselves and sends the ORIGINAL media on to the next person on the list. As more people sign up, it continues to grow and grow - hence the name "vine". MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Make sure you can deal with the media format. Many vines are in audio CD format, so the minimum basic requirement is that you are knowledgeable and capable of copying audio CD's. Other vines are in D

    Earlier this year (March 17, 2010) Alex Chilton passed away. He never had much success selling albums but always drew a loyal fan base at live shows. His shows have been disappearing from a lot of the usual sites lately. I would like to share the ones I have, if anyone out there has any more please PM me!     JGB 76: Best of Part I (SHN/FLAC)
    Here are what I feel are the best-sounding of the best shows from the JGB in '76, not including the shows that have been vined already and the officially released Don't Let Go. I posted in the metatopic a few weeks ago, asking those who only do WAV to let me know if they were interested in the vine, and I received no response, so this will be SHN/FLAC files only. Don't let the fact that most of these are AUD's deter you; I've graded all as at least A- sound quality. I've left off some Very Good shows of lesser sound quality (2/24, 9/16). I still have some more shows to go through so, if you are all very good, there may be a Part II. Love those 11/6-8 auds aka the usher tapes. Anyone know why they're called the usher tapes? I know they were taped from the balcony and maybe the usher's helped get the gear in?!?
