Well I was rollin' down the road in some cold blue steel,I had a bluesman in the back, and a beautician at the wheel. We're going downtown in the middle of the night We was laughing and I'm jokin' and we feelin' alright. Oh I'm bad, I'm nationwide. Yes I'm bad, I'm nationwide. Easin' down the highway in a new Cadillac, I had a fine fox in front, I had three more in the back. They sportin' short dresses, wearin' spike-heeled shoes, They smokin' Lucky Strikes, wearing nylon too. Welcome back, we're nationwide. Yeah we bad, we're nationwide. Well I was movin' down the road in my V-8 Ford, I had a shine on my boots, I had my sideburns lowered. With my New York brim and my gold tooth displayed, Nobody give me trouble cause they know I got it made. I'm bad, I'm nationwide. Girl I'm bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, I'm nationwide.

I've been drivin' all night, My hand's wet on the wheel There's a voice in my head That drives my heel It's my baby callin', Says: I need you here And it's a half past four And I'm shifting gear When she is lonely And the longing gets too much She sends a cable Coming in from above Don't need a phone at all We've got a thing that's called Radar Love We've got a wave in the air, Radar Love The radio's playing some forgotten song Brenda Lee's "Coming On Strong" The road has got me hypnotized And I'm speeding into a new sunrise When I get lonely, And I'm sure I've had enough She sends her comfort, Comin' in from above Don't need a letter at all We've got a thing that's called Radar Love We've got a line in the sky, Radar Love No more speed, I'm almost there Gotta keep cool now, gotta take care Last car to pass, here I go And the line of cars drove down real slow And the radio played that forgotten song Brenda Lee's "Coming On Strong" And the newsman sang his same song One more radar love is gone When I get lonely and I'm sure I've had enough She sends her comfort, coming in from above We don't need no letter at all We've got a thing that's called Radar Love We've got a line in the sky We've got a thing that's called Radar Love We've got a thing that's called, Radar Love

Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe, Billy Bremner and Terry Sullivan....amazing musicians...even better music...Rockpile never disappointed.... Hangin' out at Frankie's; everyone was stoned The player, it was playin' something' really gone Some people, they were dancin', and, some we're clappin' hands And, some others were just lyin' close, makin' sweet romance But, the hour was growing later, and, the party had sure been fun And, when Frankie said: "C'mon, let's break it up", everybody spoke out as one Play that fast thing one more time It does something to me, and, it sure feels fine Play that fast thing one more time We're gonna be in clover, don'tcha dare turn it over Why don'tcha play that fast thing one more time All over but the shouting, the end of another show A hundred-and-ten behind 'em, there was forty-four more to go All the people had gone crazy; they'd been jumpin' up and down the aisle And, the mem'ry of their faces, how it made them poor boys smile When somebody said "Oh, c'mon now! Let's make it to the hotel room..." The doors flew back, in come the pack, shouted "Honey, you spoke too soon!" Play that fast thing one more time It does something to me, and, it sure feels fine Play that fast thing one more time You're gonna get some action if we don't get satisfaction No one leave the building 'til we play it one more time! All over but the shouting, the end of another show A hundred-and-ten behind 'em, there was forty-four more of those shows to go Somebody said, somebody said, "Let's make it to the hotel room..." When the doors flew back, in come the pack, shouted "Honey, you spoke too soon!" Play that fast thing one more time It does something to me, and, it sure feels fine Play that fast thing one more time You're gonna get some action if we don't get satisfaction I said, no one leaves the building 'til we play it one more time! It does something to me, and, it sure feels fine Play that fast thing one more time You're gonna get some action if we don't get satisfaction I said, no one leaves the building 'til we play it one more time!

i don't understand this evil. i wonder what this will do to the very young, growing up in fear of these kinds of acts. i recall the atom bomb drills of the cold war when i was in elementary school, but we did not really understand what it was all about. there was no 24x7 CNN and other coverages, showing all the carnage. we knew the bomb was bad but we did not fully grasp the danger i think. the young kids today get to SEE it over and over. parents, grandparents, please hug and reassure the little ones.

Been following this tour since 10/29 Albany, playing has gotten much tighter but is it me or are the set lists getting predictable and stagnant? Same songs being rotated in different order, repeating every 3 shows or so. Now I know Mayer and Oteil are new to this but, well just want to see if anyone else shares the opinion, maybe I just need a break from it.... Contrasting to Phil's recent runs at the Cap...on 11/1 he pulled out day job for the encore....whilst not a barn burner of a classic dead song it did put a smile on my face....if for no other reason, spontaneity. Come to find out that night he replayed the 11/1/85 set list song for song...reminds me of going to see DSO. Anyway to all who are yet to go, enjoy.....these are some high energy shows for sure....and being there is well worth your time....at least once.

Hi everyone, Just checking in, as I have mostly had my head down attending to the mundane for the last few months. However, I got the chance to spin my noggin a bit last week at the Broomfield and Vegas shows (despite a nagging cough). The shows were great--11/28 2nd set, in particular, was very notable. Got to see Gob and (you can call me) James in Vegas so that was a treat. Gob even brought Christmas to the show . . . literally. Hoping to go to Cali at the end of the month but we will see.

...now, more than ever, we need to celebrate the good in our country, and the Good Old Grateful Dead have sure provided a lot of that. While not minimizing what happens tragically, we do need to focus on peace, love and bringing a smile to those around us. Mona posted that today was the official name change for the Boys to the Grateful Dead, and that happened 50 years ago...so happy happy birthday guys. As I reflect on the violence that seems to happen on an unfortunate regular basis, I can't help but think as a society we can do a better job. Think globally, act locally comes to mind....and for me, that starts with my own personal thoughts and what kind of spirit I want to have, and project to those close by. We can each make this place a better place, and we each need to do that. We each need to take responsibility for our thoughts, words and deeds, and strive to make this world a better place, one smile, one song, one hug at a time. So greet a friend, look someone in the eye, and say "I care". Think good thoughts, and yes, mourn and grieve as necessary, but know that your smile, your gesture, your words are important to us all. Best wishes, good thoughts and prayers to those hurting today. May the music provide warmth, your friends provide compassion, and memories of a real good time bring a smile to your spirit. Take care one and all...you matter to us as you matter to your friends and family. Peace to you and yours. geo

Geo, your thoughts are spot on and if we all took those words to heart the world would indeed be a better place. These are troubling times for sure. Thank the Great Spirit for the Good Ole Grateful Dead...a box of rain will ease the pain and love will see you through.

Did anyone notice excessive grainy picture quality during segments of their blu-ray or dvd video discs? Most noticeable on July 4th disc 2, during the fireworks. Interested to find out either way. Trying to determine if it was produced that way or if it's a defective disc. Otherwise it's an amazing capture of a magical week in Chicago. Thanks.
