Does anyone have any gd tapes they would like to get rid of to a good home? I love to have any your duplicates. I used to collect cds/tapes a little when I first got into the Dead but as things have become digital, I got rid of what I had! Anyway, recently got myself a new tape deck and thought it would be fun to collect/trade again! I am happy to pay for shipping etc. Thx! phishinjo6@yahoo.com

from gdhead77 for JGB Albany 2/13/80. Great show. Made the trekfrom Binghamton to Albany. Don't remember much as I was studying "Chemistry" as well, but I do remember a great Mission in the Rain. I also seem to recall something odd about the opening act, but I can't remember exactly. Anyone out there know what I am talking about?
Seems like we were at a lot of the same shows, especially at Nassau and Radio City. We probably ran into each all the time.
"Let there be songs to fill the air."
A CD of the Sept 15 1985 Chula Vista Ca. Devore field. I tried to download but it kicks my A$$..... Any suggestions... thanks
Pomo,
For sure we were at many of the same shows! and yes you must have been studying chemistry a bit more than me at the albany show :-)

I knew I heard a killer Mission in the Rain. Only it was a year later at the same venue--11/04/81!!! LOL.
"Let there be songs to fill the air."
Supposedly there are some high quality shows from the 70's and 80's out there. I'd like something to complement Live Bullet and Nine Tonight. PM me if you have anything. Thanks!
Hi Guys,
New to the board. I was wondering if anyone is interested in a trade or B&P? I have only about 9 dead shows thus far and I am looking to aggressively expand my dead collection.
I am looking for soundboard quality shows/essential dead shows + anything with die hard versions of sugaree, loser, and/or franklin's tower.
I have dl'd torrents in the past, but now being on dial up has made that difficult... so I am looking for stuff in either shn. or flac. format.
If anyone can hook me up I can send out some blank dvds or what not.
pls let me know.
Thanks
Jim
I have about 12 shows on DVD to trade. Hampton 89 2nd night, Landover 89 both nights, brents last show 90, philly spectrum89, meadowlands89, germany90, paris90, new years 89,oakland 2/90 and some others. Love to trade. Also have around 250 GD shows in Cd or mp3 format. Ask and i'll send my show list. I need Jerry Garcia Band shows. Let's trade. peace
I have been trying to get this dvd forever. The few parts I have seen look great. Does anyone else out thre have this? GD1990-07-23.dvd
Hi all,
I've reached the point where the willow won't bend... I am parting w/ all my old tapes. Gotta make room in the house. 90% GD, some Jerry shows, Zero & Van.
Looking for someone new to the scene & will send them to the best reply i get. If you want to send me something back in trade, that's up to you...

Does anyone have a SBD for the first set of this show? I have the second set -- and really like it, but I am having some trouble finding the first.
I have a pretty good collection, so let me know if there is anything you are looking for.
"See the Dog Star Shine --- I got a feeling I got no time to lose"
Would like to buy or trade for a CD copy of "The Wheel" (with the fantastic musical intro) as heard on "The Grateful Dead Movie (1977) during the first 8 minutes of the DVD's animation. If anyone knows what concert that was on it would be most appreciated. I heard it once on Sirius 32 but have been unable to find it. Many thanks.
I believe that was the rendition of the wheel from Garcia's first studio album. It is a wonderful document to Jerry's brilliance.
Check it out (some other great versions of songs you love and some you might not love yet, but will!)
The Truth is realized in an instant, the act is practiced step by step.
Greetings bwelker,
Sure would love to hear your shows. I'm sure you want them to go to a good home. Since hearing about the spring tour I'm newly excited about trading. I just got tix to The Forum and Shoreline shows and am planning on taping them. These shows will be my second chance to see the Band. I was lucky to see them in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in '92'. Never thought I'd get the chance again. I'm now researching the equipment I need to record the shows and also use it to convert my 40+ tape collection. So I'm super excited about all this and would love to share my tapes too. If you want CD's of my stuff I'll do the lossless conversions. I haven't forgotten the grate attitude deadheads have and am happy to be getting back to the community finally.
grateful,
Longrifle
The other night we heard on http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com the second set of the 1969-06-05 show. We loved the playing but we just rolled over with laughter listening to Lovelight. Can anyone help me find a site where I can download this show?
I looked in the Internet Archive but this show is only in streaming format. We like to have it on CD.
As for trading: I have little to offer as most of the shows are downloadable from the Internet.
Ship of Fools
I am looking for this show in shn/flac or an audio cd of it. stuman has it on tape, but I would like to have it in digital form if anyone has it. I would like to pair it with the Sting opener I just sent out as a vine and upload it to some other sites I frequent. PM me if you have it, I have plenty of stuff to trade. Thanks
Robert
Taped the GD and the JGB during 75-95 and beyond
I am a long time collector but all I have is COMMON shows. I am getting tired of bit torrent and "instant gratification" I want to get on the hunt again
Aside from the GD/JGB I collect LZ and related and am also looking for anyone who taped LZ, RP, JP, and Page/Plant
Basically I just want to hunt tapes down as I am an AUD fanatic
PM me, email me
I'd like to send my D7 DAT with a friend to the upcoming May show to patch in with someone. I can't make it unfortunately.
Can any tapers send me a PM?
Thanks.

Hello, I have a VHS tape of the Grateful Deads So Far. It came out in 1987 but has some of New Years 1985 on it also. It blends live Dead playing and creating in a controlled environment with live 1985 New Years mixed in. Pretty cool but i'd like to transer it to a DVD. Tape song list is: Uncle Johns,Playin, Terrepin, drums/space, Throwing Stones and Not Fade Away. I'll send you the vhs tape and you can make a copy for yourself and me and send it back. Whatcha say.
Let's trade show list and go from there. I have about 250 whole shows from all eras. I also have about 15 bootleg DVDs. These dvds are really sick! and a must for serious or not Heads. Some DVDs I have are: Hampton 89, New Years 89, Paris 90,Berlin 90, Landover 90 and so on. The DVDs are bootleg video with soundboard quality audio. Someone at a studio did a great job on these. My email is demigodband@msn.comSend me your show list and i'll send mine. I may help if you're new to trading. I'll get ya started.
This is a gift for my coworker who first saw the Dead in Eugene Oregon 1966. I would love to have a tape or CD of this show.
I can't find it anywhere on any of the sites in Albix's post. Please help. A bill would be a cherry too.
As per Deadbase, it would appear that there's a perfectly good reason why you're having trouble tracking this down. If you do ever find it, please let us all know. Here's all the shows in Eugene they do know of:

Perhaps your co-worker meant the 68 or 69 show. Ask them if they remember the venue. There is a soundboard of the 69 show on archive, and it looks so tasty I'm just gonna have to give it a listen.
Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.
Deadbase has this one:
Query String: WHERE (city Like '%Ashland%')
1 shows matched your query.
Date Venue
02-04-68 Gym, South Oregon College, Ashland, Or.
But they don't have a setlist, although apparently Quicksilver also played and tickets were $3. No copy on archive either. Good luck with your search. Sorry I wasn't more help.

Please help!!! I have been looking for a certain show for years... does anyone have October 4, 1970???
That show is out there. The Soundboard and FM Master Reel can be streamed on Archive.org
If anyone has a recording of this show, http://www.dead.net/show/september-21-1972, that they are willing to copy/trade/whatever for my father, it would be awesome, it was the show he went to when he was 18 so it would be nostalgic for him and a totally new experience for me. I can properly reimburse anybody who would be so kind.
email is lightbulbpirate@gmail.com if you have an offer.

Thanks tgakidis, I was wondering if any shows from the current spring tour were making their way out there or if the only option was to pony up 14 bucks (yuck).
Is there a tapers section this tour? I'll be at the Forum on the 9th and I'm starting to get excited so I'm looking to hear what's been happening so far.
Can't believe it's been 14 years. Good to be back.
And the answer would be yes.

The Willie Waldman Project will be playing the Mint in Los Angeles this week on May 21. Special guest will be Robbie Krieger on Guitar. They are a taping friendly band!http://music.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music.showDetails&friendi…
I just recorded Willie, playing with the North Indiana All Stars in Santa Barbara on Friday night with my Neumanns.
because it was a solicitation to trade for commercially released material. Sorry, we don't do that here.
hello I am not sure if this tape even exists it may be too early but I was wondering if its possible to get ahold of December 10, 1965, if you know anything regarding this show and perhaps know how I could get ahold of it please send me a private message or email me at moss.logan@gmail.com
I have a collection of Tapes that Have been in my family for years. I am moving and looking to get rid of the collection. Is anyone interested. There are over 200 tapes and a bunch of DAT tapes as well. recording quality is amazing for back then.....
so sorry, but soliciting illegal copies of commercial releases does not fall within the parameters of tape trading on this site. Anybody else who's thinking of asking people to copy commercial releases for them please note. Anyone who's offering to do anything of the sort please note also. Thank you.
After I posted I read your post about commercial trading and thought "does that apply to what I'm asking", then realized it probably did. No worries, I actually bought it :o)
