inanimate objects is something I think we've all been guilty of at some point or another... Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

There was a thing on TV, 60 Minutes I think, about 10 years ago that went into the whole thing in detail. As I understand it, to this day no one knows why the ship sank; it was a good, newer ship with a good crew who knew what they were doing. What I didn't know until I saw this was that it was named after a guy who was still living, like the owner of the shipping company or something, who was so proud of the ship, and the whole thing broke his heart for the rest of his life.

35 yrs ago today, on Lake Superior. All 29 hands went down with the ship, their bodies never recovered. The Gordon Lightfoot song was a number 1 hit almost exactly a year later? Why have I thought for the past 34 yrs that he was singing about a ship that went down decades before he wrote the song? Guess I wasn't keeping up with the news as well as I thought in those days...

Dan Hawkins is finally out, in Boulder: The Daily Camera, Denver Post and CBS 4, Denver, are reporting he will be replaced by Brian Cabral. Good luck Buffs this week hosting the Cyclones.
