    Hoping it’s as good as I recall…
4/10 was not, in fact, bit of a dog, perhaps worst so far?
Not a bad show, just more inconsistent and several notable flubberies etc…
    Let’s find out ; )
    Onward!

JAX - middle of 1st set.
    (edit - nice Estimated/Eyes in 2nd set)
Still most impressed with 4-6-78 so far.
Glad I got this box, I have skipped some.
    Cheers

Not a sports fan at all, will watch super bowl and world series with group, but really don't care.

I felt sorry for Pete Rose, I feel I heard a story about wife abusers being allowed into the hall of fame, but not Pete?

On another note, I have a new favorite song. Maybe a bunch of you have heard of him, but I hadn't, Jelly Roll. He was on Saturday Night Live this weekend and did a tune called "Winning Streak". A search of "Jelly Roll - Winning Streak (Live on SNL)" will pull it up. It's a tune about a alcoholic going to his first AA meeting.

One of the best refrain lines EVER

I was so ashamed to be in this seat, til I met a man who was 20 years clean
He said, 'Everybody here's felt the same defeat. Nobody walks through these doors on a winning streak.'

Check it out. Hope you find it as good as I do.

And, no, I've never had an addiction or been to any sort of meeting.

    RIP Pete Rose

    A true legend

    He got screwed over

    Charlie Hustle

Way back in 1975 I went to a Cubs game vs. the Reds...went down toward the field pregame

Here is Johnny Bench Dave Concepcion and Pete Rose warming up

That was cool to a 6th grader

    Still cool to me now

He so much deserved to be in the Hall of Fame

Not forgetting the above treasure trove that came out on vinyl fairly recently. Again, highly recommended, both for the music played and the sound quality. "180 gram audiophile vinyl" it says on the spine of the record, and it sounds like it.

And that reminded me of the David Crosby interview where he called the Dead "psychedelic Dixieland.'

    Seems about right!

Feel your way, feel your way like the day before
    Maybe you'll find direction

    There is 69 vinyl.
FW69 which was Plangentized (the CD’s were not, so the vinyl is a remaster) and 4-26%,27-69 DP26.

Absolutely no noise reduction ON THE RECORDING, but that doesn’t mean some kind of processing on the final release, and, it seemed like 4/12 sounded much different, especially in the frequency spectrum we’ve been discussing.
There are other ways in mastering to treat noise beyond basic noise reduction, like, not your 80s tape deck Dolby…
I’ve been looking at pics and some don’t seem to have overhead drum mics where others certainly do. But haven’t dug deep so don’t know dates that correspond to pics etc. Just wonder if that was something Betty was messing with as she’s known for her mic placement perhaps above all else…
Also noticed JG moved into the center, and Bob to the left, (as per their stage orientation at the time) of the soundstage on maybe the 10th? Before that they were switched, and the 12 all kinds of things going on lol,
Always fun to try and dissect things!

Hmmmm?
Another quirky good but inconsistent show?
Definitely a creeper. Starts a bit off (technically and otherwise) but by mid set they start settling in and syncing up. Second set, like much of this tour may not be flawless, but their is some fine playing and highlights!. And I’ll have to find that video cause wondering WTH was up with JG at the end etc? Wow?
These shows are hard to pin down, interesting run.
14 mañana…

Among others they would have a mic over each drummer either hanging or on stands four feet above each drum kit since sound rises from the drums, cymbals.
