Grateful Dead

This show occurred in the gym as I remember. There was a big flap about the administration and athletic department at Alfred trying to keep it a no smoking atmosphere because they had just installed new flooring and didn't want it damaged. Good luck. Let's just say that no one got that memo.It was my first Dead show and I was under the influence you might say. I was a mile away from the stage, felt a bit claustrophobic because of the huge crowd and the smoky atmosphere ; ). Overall a good show. The second time I saw them made up for this initial foray when I saw them in Boston 12/1/71 with Pigpen. Now that was a GREAT show.
