Week of June 3, 1991
This show opens with the ripping "Picasso Moon," with an extra kick in the "jam" at the end. It also includes the first of only half a dozen latter-day performances of Bob Dylan's "It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry" (which turned up once before, in a jam with the Allman Brothers at RFK Stadium on 6/10/73, a tremendous show all the way through!). "Train to Cry" was a staple of the Jerry Garcia Band songbook in the '70s and '80s, and oddly, appeared exactly once in the '90s: 3/4/95.
I don't remember for sure, but this show must have been from a time when, for stupid political reasons, I wasn't allowed to broadcast complete sets. That must be why I substituted the studio version of "High Time."
