The Orpheum Run
This long run of shows was really the beginning of the end for Sharon and me as a couple (too bad it took 2 more years for me to realize it). We both still had lots of wild oats to sow; and during this run of shows . . . sow 'em we did! Pretty girls, pretty boys - LIFE WAS CRAZY!!! Spent most of the time staying at our friends' pre - (1906) earthquake house on Lyon Street, just two hops, 3 skips, and a jump down Oak Street to the Orpheum.
This run was wild, hustlin' tickets from here and there. Rewthie SWORE that one fell outta the sky for her one late afternoon on Market Street.
Stranger things were to come!
Later,

Nice Long Run at the Orpheum
The return of the Dead...after their hiatus. A nice long run at a small ornate theater.
My first re-worked "Dancin'", boy what a surprise! They called it Disco Dead, I thought it was funky and cool.
During these shows near the end they dropped down a multi light sign that spelled out Grateful Dead behind the band. It was made with many lightbulbs, as I remember. I'd love to see a picture of that great sign!
