Great show!
This is a grreat show that has always gone completely under the radar. All great tunes in the somewhat short first set, but then hold on to your heads, 'cause the first half of set 2 is as hot as any, believe it or not!! Ya gotta get the tape.
Poignant
I was at this show and first set went in a usual manner; great playing and fun. During the break we got word Steve Parish' wife and daughter were killed in an accident on the bridge. It was horrible news. I asked my friend who had full backstage access; what the dead were going to do. He said they were about to come back for the 2nd set and play their hearts out. They surely did. I started seeing the dead back in 1970 and saw many many shows up to that point in time. On this night, in that second set, a spirit was felt I can't recall being similar to any other experience with them in quite that way. They played their hearts out and most of the fans don't know about this. This should be released officially. It's an important evening both spiritually and musically. Listen to it on archives and you'll get it. Love -EW54

I don't want to step on any toes so not copying and pasting it but I suggest you check it out.
Love what you said above me here. It is so true they did come out and play their hearts out . One would think losing a family like Steve Parish did the show would stop on a dime at that very moment yet the band gave us more then we could ever imagine possible. Having just read the interview with Steve Parish brought back a lot of memories and feelings. I too lost a family member in a car accident she was the best friend I could of ever imagined and yes life has to go on what choice do we have. What seems to be the worst thing ever possible only makes us stronger.
To that I THANK this band with every fiber of my being . Life is fragile and beautiful at the same time. Happy New year to all.
Ps this show does smoke check it like is said above.
