DC Dead
Jerry played with Sting on Walking on the Moon and i thought that was one of the best performances of both days.Definately like the night before better, but good versions of Stranger, BEW, Birdsong were found in the first set. And I really like LRR.
And this is a really good liberty.
Bobby had those polyps on his vocal chords so he was fightin it.
Cheers!

“The Omnipotent Grateful Dead!”
I can't recall if I saw this
I can't recall if I saw this show or the night before. But I remember after the show the police or maybe the national guard cleared the parking lot. I was thinking 'are you nuts? do you really want this crowd getting into their cars right now?'
good summer shows
this show stands out in my memory as the only Terrapin I got to hear. Summer 93 at RFK was my introduction to the parking lot scene and we had a lot of fun hanging out, meeting all kinds of people of all ages and generally having a great 16-year old freakout experience. It was sort of lame when the gestapo rolled up flashing lights after the show, as we were in the middle of a vintage 77 Dancin in the Streets party...
My final show, had to travel and go to school.
somehow we thought it never could end tha cat had nine lives or so it seemed...
I remember this.
I actually liked Sting alot...anybody who can play a whole set of hit songs deserves some respect. It was good. Don't remember what drugs I did for this one, but I was in the front row at the end of set 1, and was yelling for Bob to play Piccaso, then he turned around, looked at me, and broke into it. One of my fav newer songs. I can't remember alot of other details, but Terrapin and Stones...and I think I was not psyced about Liberty, but I've never been a big critic, so I rocked along.
His job is to shed light, not to master.
My first Show
Drove four hours to get into D.C. Got to the parking lot at 12:00 and the show didn't start until 8. Spent the whole day walking around the carnival of the RFK parking lot. WOW it was so wild. The drum circles under the bridges still bring goose bumps to me as I think about it. I was hooked the minute the show began. We all didn't sit for a minute.
Final East Coast Show
I had a lot of great times at this place. None of them with Redskins. I saw this show w/ the Morgan Brothers and the Cap'n. The Cap'n is gone now.
Love RFK
My Home for the Dead.. I'm a Baltimore Boy so DC was close... Or JGB at Merriweather...didthe whole summer tour in 92... Thanks to the internet and all the great archives I can relive and actually listen to what i missed the first time..It could get overwhelming..LOL.. I saw my first show at 16 in 1988 and went to multiple shows every year until Jerry passed... Jumping the rail and dodging security and then moving as close to stage as possible..re-meeting friends Who leaped with me..( meet in front of Taper section if You make it..LOL) Beautiful naked spinning wonders..puff puff from all sides.. and a sweet girl with a bottle of liquid..( we already had white blotter..Yeah but its liquid.. Yeah..) squirt guns..balloons... and Jerry and the Boys driving.... I knew right then that these days needed to be cherished and I tried to drink in ALL.... Peace to All.. saw Furthur at Boardwalk Hall.. so many Young Heads..the feeling lives on.......
