First of five programs featuring most of an excellent Grateful Dead Concert, recorded 4/3/82 at the Scope in Norfolk VA. Charlie Miller did the restoration and mastering of the cassette, and it sounds great! There were some problems both sonic and musical with the first few songs, so we join set 1 in progress. We'll stay with it until the end of the show.
Also featuring some fine music from Dead & Company's Summer 2018 tour, and a track from the second album of Grateful Dead favorites by a grade-school choir from Austin, Texas under the direction of Gavin Tabone. I (David Gans, host and producer of the Grateful Dead Hour played guitar and sang on this track and one other on the CD, and I've also played several live shows with them.
