Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1972 and a double dose of Alpine 1989 tunes.
Our first stop this week is the big second set jam from 7/16/72 in Hartford, the first Grateful Dead show following Pigpen’s final show on 6/17/72 in Hollywood: Truckin'> Drums> The Other One> He's Gone> The Other One > Looks Like Rain.
Next is the start of the second set from 7/18/89 at Alpine Valley, the Dead’s penultimate show there: Sugar Magnolia> Scarlet Begonias; Man Smart (Woman Smarter); Eyes Of The World.
Lastly this week is the end of the show from the Dead’s final appearance at Alpine Valley in East Troy, WI, where we have Space>Other One>The Wheel>Morning Dew, Lovelight.
