Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1972, 1981, and 1984.
Our first stop this week is the first show of 1972, on 1/2/72 at Winterland, where we have this classic 1972 sequence of Chinatown Shuffle; Tennessee Jed; El Paso; You Win Again; Big Railroad Blues; Mexicali Blues.
Next is second set music from 7/7/81 in Kansas City featuring Man Smart (Woman Smarter) ; Candyman ; Estimated Prophet > Eyes Of The World, including the second ever Man Smart (Woman Smarter), which had debuted a few days earlier in Houston.
Lastly this week is the excellent and unique end-of-show sequence from 7/6/84 at Alpine Valley, where we have Space > Dear Mr. Fantasy > The Other One > Black Peter > Why Don't We Do It In The Road > Sugar Magnolia, Touch Of Grey.
