tom "iceman" mcgannwww.winterbathers.com we had many a good night at the short sweet history of the brooklyn rock palace. i saw the byrds and three out of the for dead shows. one night pig was cooking up some bacon when he got hungry...good times. the neighbors were never too happy about the hippies. it was great to either walk or take the bus there. after it first run as a concert hall it was picked up by a new crew and renamed banafish garden. it become a home for the filming of wabc "in concert"

This venue obviously was designed to give Bill Graham's Fillmore East a run for its money! Many of the scheduled bands probably had FE on its itinerary. Would love to have seen IRON BUTTERFLY. Imagine grooving to "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" in downtown Brooklyn? That would have been one great musical experience.
