    the only time I was in this hall
    was for a trade show, which was clearly suboptimal, but I had no trouble seeing its potential as a cool venue.

    LA's version of the Filmore
    This was the place to go back in the day. The shrine was huge with a wrap around balcony that had a number of strobe lights pointing down at the floor below. Three stages with the coolest light show. no seats so you could wander, It seemed like the Dead would play forever..we were dancing in front of Jerry playing his never ending licks..heads bobbing.. passing jays..no big crowds..no cops..peace love and harmony..
