Hi again, This time to try to clear up a mystery at New Haven
Thanks so much for the pictures! Did or do you live in the NY area? If so, maybe you also went to this show: In November (I think) 1978, I was in the New Haven, CT Colliseun when it was announced that the show was being cancelled because Jerry was sick. (I think that it was Bob who came out on stage and made that announcement to a packed house, at some point after the show was supposed to have started, but doon't remember these details.) I'm trying to remember anything else about that whole scene, other than feeling suddenly and totally weak-kneed, uneasy, and nervous about how the Heads would be able to handle it. Do you remember this? Jane

    Roosevelt Stadium, Jersey City, NJ
Unbelievable. This is my exact and same history at that wonderful, ancient, thoroughly disgusting, and tear-down of a Stadium, Jersey City's Roosevelt. (I don't know what your experience was there, but a memorable one of mine was the ever-present, unidentifyable, always "colorful," 1 - 3" of liquid that totally covered the only Ladies room floor, and in which a long line of chicks always had to wait, stand and bear it. Really great after having downed several beers in the parking lot! Yeah, almost a comparable experience at Passaic's Capital Theater when we had to wait for one of the only two stalls. Well, actually, the Capital was probably just a couple of notches better.) That Dark Side of the Moon show is one of an only handful of the greatest shows that I've ever seen (and that includes a few hundred Dead shows.) At the Floyd show, do you remember when that huge Moon ball slid down from the top row on invisible wire and cruised on to the stage !!??? An unsurpassably cool thing that still rocks my socks when I think of it. I've still got my stub from the '76 Dead Show and the T-Shirt from it.
