One of many crazy stories . . .
Living in Tempe, AZ. I came into some money the day before the show, looked up the tour dates . . . Shoreline it is! Jumped on a plane to San Jose, hitchhiked to Mountain View. Missed the first set entirely. I can't remember how but I got in for the second set after stashing my pack and tent. I remember being preoccupied by trying to find my friends. After the show I could not find my friends, so I set about looking for a place to sleep. Lot of business parks around there as I recall. I found one where I could not be seen, unfurled my sleeping bag and went to sleep. About one minute after I fell asleep the sprinklers came on. I booked. Wandered around somemore and finally came to a large parking lot where there was a tractor trailer. I slept underneath until I heard this strange sound. A whole pack of weasils or some kind of rodents were circling me. It's got to be 4 in the morning at this point and I'm very tired. I wander around until the sun comes up. I remember it being hot later in the day, when I found my friends in the lot, about 3 hours before show time. I proceeded to put on sunscreen which immediately got into my eyes. I couldn't see until the sun went down. But the show was great and I had a great time.
Trials and tribulations of the tour(one stop on it anyway)

yes, I have been there.the day I flew back to switzerland. I will never forget this night. great concert!!!
That was a great day.
I was on leave from the Army in Texas. I went to visit some friends in Hayward Ca.. When I got off the plane, I was surprised to see my friend Gina there. She was out visiting my friends also. She said "I've got tickets for 2 Dead shows at Shoreline and one Phish show at Berkeley." So needless to say I was psyched. Had no idea that this trip was going to be so good. I had been as far from that scene as possible for the past 2 years. The shows were great. It made me feel like myself again. The culture shock I had when I got back to Ft. Hood Texas with my hair growing out and my beard in full, was extreme. People were asking me, "where the hell did you go on leave?" I just smiled.
