I think you are correct, the right channel drops for a split second. It sounds like the right channel has most of the instruments (including Billy's fantastic drumming) and the left channel carries most of the vocals including Jerry's bleating sheep voice and some slightly immature Bobby singing. It's some pretty hip stuff though and I'm thankful to have a great document from the period.
