This was the show of 91' for me!
Having seen hundreds of shows by this time I knew a rare and hot show when I saw one. This was definately one of those. I had for what ever reason developed a liking for Picasso Moon and was stoked to hear them open with it. On top of that they ripped it up. Each song got progressively better. I hadn't heard CC Rider in like forever and I could not believe Jerry slammed into the It Takes A Train To Cry!!!! It doesn't say it above but I believe they went back into the CC after the Train. I have a belief that whenever a show is really hotter than hot, this is when Jerry decides to bust out a High Time. Just a solid show and one of my favorite 1st sets. I ran into Bill Graham out on the walkway inside the venue but outside of the concert area. I reminded him that I had met him 8 years before at the Warfield Theater. We had a laugh about it because I told him that that meeting was me sitting on the staircase out from the theater and he came up and got me to stand up. He didn't want people sitting on the stairs, I suppose for safety reasons. He was very nice about it and I was very nice about it. Bill has a sense of humor because after the story he told me to move on from the sidewalk. He was kidding and we had another laugh. I sure hated to hear of his passing. A nice guy every time I met him.

What A Show
OK So maybe it has to do with seeing the set list and listening to the tape, but I was there and I remember thinking this was a unique and fun show. I look back now and realize how great and fun the first set was. It is always great to see how they would completely switch things up and play really strange and different sets. Go figure. Look back on what they were playing over the past few years prior and you can see what I mean. EASY..... Eternityblue
