    my first show
I remember The Dead going on last and being a little late. I seem to recall something about them arriving on a flatbed truck but that must be an illusion. "Schoolgirl" was definitely played and I remember the feedback was almost shaking the stones there in The Greek. Little did I know then how important the venue would become to the band in the 80's! And I always thought the Tom Copi photos attributed to Ann Arbor in August were from this gig. And it is amazing to realize Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette were in Charles Lloyd's band! I remember Keith crawling around inside the piano with the top up messing with the strings.

    My second GD show
The first being the Human Be-In in January. Pigpen had a big Hammond organ IIRC, and i think Jerry may have blown out a speaker with feedback. Went with friends from 10th grade. Schoolgirl was the standout number.
