Jam after Bertha
what a show
probably my best ‘Grateful Dead’ moment .. yes, the audience at the moment of release .. the space was so intense .. definitely my 2nd most listened to tape ... only the show before trumping it ..but the jam that previous post mentioned .. got to be my most favorite ... don’t forget the noodling after China Doll into drums .. that entire section .. after Greensboro, we knew what was possibly coming (still couldn’t believe it) .. let the phone calls commence !! >> “China Doll > Stephen !”
(GDM sold a killer shirt at this venue ... Kelly did a skeleton hand holding an apple, with those great letters underneath “New York”)
