Gorillas at the Warfield
Five of us wore gorilla suits to this show. We got a deal on the rental because it was a heat wave (in the 90s) in SF. We were going to get up and boogie in our suits if the band played "The Monkey and the Engineer" but they didn't play it. Probably for the best anyway. I got scolded for sliding down the bannister, but they were nice about it.

There is an interesting drum
There is an interesting drum prelude before the second electric set. It's a leisurely Rhythm Devils duet which segues into a lovely "Comes A Time." That goes nicely into "Lost Sailor."
Don, your story is
Don, your story is hilarious! Now every time I listen to an '80 version of "Monkey & The Engineer" I picture a group of gorillas doin' the boogie!! Even though it didn't happen, it goes on in my mind.
Disagreement after To Lay Me Down
Maybe this happened often, but this is the first time I have ever heard it on a recording.
Bobby misses the cue to end the song and Jerry chides him for it. Then lots of yelling/cussing back and forth.
Great show though.
