    2nd Night - Cape Cod
Ugh! I was oblivious. I gave away the $12 ticket after attending the first night. I only lived in Worcester, MA, just a couple hours away. But after securing tix for both nights had no ride and failed to get both nights off from work. What was I thinking? The night before was beyond cosmic and my buds raved about the 2nd night having all the same crazy energy! Mississippi/Franklin's opening jam for 20 tape minutes??!! Awesome!

nice way to end a beautiful weekend
After the pleasure and excitement from the night before we went back to the red jacket inn to regroup. Strolled the beach during a cloudy November like day. Went to the show satisfied from the night before. Loved this night too!! A good time was had by all. Drove back to Long Island and ran out of gas in Mamaroneck. Searched the seat cushions for enough change to get us back home.

This show was much admired as well
People were still hoping for a Dark Star, last played in Jan. of 1979. Still possible at a small AHL hockey rink like the Coliseum, it was a very intimate venue,

New England + General Admission = Insane Giant Dance Party. Caught us by surprise when they started earlier than the advertised 7:30 time. Later we heard this was a response to the venue's insistence that they finish by 11:00 pm. What other band in the world would do that? GBTGOGD!

Another Franklin's Tower? Why not? I'm starting to love this tune. And this venue. Spent time before show time with about thousand other heads rooting around in the sand-duney woods getting blasted out of my mind.

A senior in a local high school that year, I was deliriously happy on some perfect mushrooms both nights, and became convinced that the guys played superbly that evening. Finally, finally found the shows on archive.org, and frankly, the Franklin's from this second CCC show was quite extraordinary. I assumed that there would be more shows to come, but alas, other than some mighty good JGB and a miracle Bobby & the Midnites at this same venue in June 81, I never saw them again. Still, these shows wer, and are terrific.
