Hart's Birthday, Hell In A
Hart's Birthday, Hell In A Bucket to close first set was a rocker, and then a bunch of songs about death in the second set made for a very emotional experience for my first Brentless Dead show.
". . . Music is the best!" (fz)
first He's Gone since Brent died
I remember this He's Gone being particularly poignant since it was the first one played since Brent died.....musically, the Spoonful that followed it was a great treat but again, the lyrics had a much deeper bite to them in connection with Brent's death. The jam AFTER the Spoonful was one of the highlights of this show for me; I also agree with the comment above that the Bucket to close the first set was hot, and a nice surprise in that spot. It's weird to remember that this show was long before 9/11 meant anything to us besides being Mickey's birthday.
Not a dry eye in the house
Not a dry eye in the house for the black peter. Best hes gone w/o bret anyway. Miss you Bret.
SPOONFUL>JAM>DRUMS
