Hometown must-see (or so I thought)
The 4-year anniversary to my first show. The highlight was Phil's Unbroken Chain. Jerry was in sick condition. I was on the floor close to the stage. During The Days Between, the wrinkles in Jerry's forehead stood out and the guy looked like he was 500 years old, maybe older. The St. of Circumstance was less than stellar due to Jerry's being sluggish. And, the drums was so dark and disturbing that it actually made me sick to my stomach. I was hoping they'd take a nice long break since this was the end of the Spring tour. But, when I saw them in summer out west, when it was so fucking hot that it made you want to crawl into the shade, I couldn't believe they were doing it. Although it made me extremely sad to find out Jerry passed later that summer, it was no surprise considering the shit they went through. Too bad Jerry wasn't more selfish about his own health and well-being.

I wept like a babe at this show. Unbroken Chain on my 30th birthday. I felt like my world was comming to an end. On tour the old rumor was that if the Dead played unbroken chain it meant that they were going to break up. I was so high, and I just had a terrible vision that the dream which I based my whole life on was going to collapse, In reality it did. My mom expired unexpectedly on 4/17, and then Jerry in August. 1995 sucked!!!! I am still not over it. NFA
Whoa, what a show...
Ok, somehow I ended up naked and arrested at this show... I remember some of it, but wonder if anyone out there remembers this... I have a couple questions for the girl behind me.
