Established in 1953 as Anchorage High School, it is also home to an 2,000 seat auditorium — the largest of any high school in Alaska. At the time of it's construction in 1954 and for 30 years after, it was the largest meeting space in the city.

fyi: sirius is playing this rare show as i speak! great show. i'm so glad to see that my sirius radio is now getting this channel.
I attended this show, but
I attended this show, but regretably I made the mistake of driving 5 hours from Valdez after working a 12 hour shift the night before, and instead of getting some shuteye during the afternoon I partied, hence I slept through a good portion of the show. I did get to meet Jerry in the lobby of the auditorium! If anyone out there has a copy of a cd of that show I would really like to have a copy. Email me atmagicmoose.martin1@gmail.com. Thanks Big Dan
I was at the show too.
I Loved this adventure. I will try to get you the CD's but sssshhhh about the quality, Don't know how I am getting this stuff, but it blows those archives away. It is like you are standing there. Modern technology you just got to love it.It is all a blurr but there are some shows you just can't forget. Hitch Hiking up the Alcan Highway with Leslie Bear. What an adventure. The Dead Heads I met there were just amazing sweet folks. We quickly formed a tight tribe in Anchorage and many of us stayed or returned to make Alaska a perminate home. One thing is for sure Alaskans love to have fun. If I can get this on Cd for you I will email you and get your address for mailing. Scottie bird will have to help me.
