Days Of Dead

He's Gone>Truckin'>Drums>The Other One>Stella Blue
Hint:
A second set jam sequence that is about as classic from this era/year as it gets, featuring songs from 1967, 1970, and a double dose of 1972. We always try to go out with a bang during 30 Days Of Dead, and this certainly fits the bill

This sequence is an example of the hour long jams the Dead were doing most show in Fall 1972, usually centered around an Other One or a Dark Star. Thanks for joining us for another 30 Days Of Dead. We hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have. We've already started a folder of tracks we're planning to include in 2025, the Dead's 60th Anniversary. See you then!

These offerings over the past 30 days have gotten a real workout by me and Chief, the cardigan Welsh corgi, here in the Pacific Northwest, as each one has provided the highlight of the soundtrack for our daily walk and put an extra bounce in our steps.

And today’s selection was just a wonderful way to conclude.

Phil’s short and sweet solo string work starting at the 14-minute mark of “The Other One” once again proves he was a maestro -- and helps to clearly cement, for me, that this era/year represented the Dead at their absolute finest.

I always look forward to November. Thanks to Dave, GD and this community.
With this year complete our total for 15 years is 4 Days, 5 hours, 15 Minutes 48 Seconds of the Greatest Band Of All Time; they're a band beyond description. And Day 30, song 450 was the longest to date. What a finish!
Fare you well, my honeys.

Another 30 Days gone, gone, gone.
Last chance to play your hand.
I am so Grateful the bus came by and I got on over 40 years ago.
I cannot say enough thanks to the Grateful Dead for their selfless generosity to allow fans to record their live performances and impact so many lives.
It seems like all this month was just a dream.
Like a steam locomotive November rolls down the tracks and December comes crying in the night.
Thanks to David for putting this together again!
Merry Christmas to all!
Keep on truckin' on.

You will probably never see a Morning Dew or Viola Lee Blues in 30 DoD due to copyright.

After 56 years of this band being the source of what is truly special in my musical realm, Dave and his gang have once again done a great job in expanding that foundation. And what an amazing closeout on this year's run!!

and all the other PTB behind 30 days. I've played every year since the beginning, won nothing but many hours of choice Dead nuggets. I will miss all you folks even though I don't know any of you. Kinda like leaving a show!

Yeah! This was a good pick for day 30 in context with Phil Lesh passing on recently. {Fare the Well, Phil!} The "Bass Grate, Lesh Philling" soloing there at the end of The Other One is so classic!
Thanks Dave & Co. for all the great Grateful Dead live music!

Thanks Dave and crew for all you do to put these together. I had a blast hearing the selections every morning, and there were great picks as always.

Now, as we wind up November, let's stop and reflect a moment for those we lost the last year. We are only on this ride for a short time, so... please... everyone be kind to one another. We can make it through anything if we try.

What a phenomenon that all this is possible, with so much of this great music preserved all over the place thanks to soundboards, tapers, and this greatest ever band. Something like this can never happen again. So thankful for all this great music! The Music Never Stopped!

Thank you all for another terrific 30 Days of Dead, from the band to Dave and team to all of you! I appreciate the community here and reading all your stories, suggestions and thoughts inspired by the music.

It was a daily dose of joy to join in, made daily walks like other have said, and everything else better! Such a great set of performances and recordings spanning eras and leading down new paths of discovery, right up to this glorious sequence today! Especially enjoyed the three selections from the wild year at the Family Dog and would love to hear more.

Thank you again, take care and peace to all in the new year!

almost an hour of tunes. was wishing for a stella blue. what a way to end it. once again thanks for the trick of making the month of november disappear. poof! if you could please do the same for february, and the next four years. peace all
Wanted to mention the other night my daughter (15) wanted to watch the old Jimmy Stewart movie Harvey, don't know how or why, but OK. I said maybe we can find it on the usual netflix or whatever service. Next thing i know she has it up on her laptop ready to watch and i was like -where did you find it? She said -this site called Internet Archive. Full circle. circle of life. circle takes the square. if you can, donate, such an awesome resource beyond the 30 days. at least until the orange piece of shit tries to take it away.

Found myself checking in again to do the download in one feel swoop. Have the 1976 Market Square Arena Help .. Slip ... Franklin's working away in the background. Well signing off ... need to run around the site a little more often.

Peace
